Who are we in Christ? Could you please share scriptures that show who we are in Christ? I am putting together a Bible study, listing as many scriptures as I can possibly find. Here are just a few examples that I have found so far:

We are:

1) saints (Ephesians 1:1)
2) have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18)
3) friends of Christ (John 15:15)
4) heirs in Christ (Romans 8:16)
5) shining stars (Philippians 2:15 - NIV)
6) fool for Christ

Please post any scriptures you find to add to the list. Thanks and God bless.

My friend, you can find about 200 scriptures about who you are in Christ in the Pauline Epistles. Like, In Christ, by Christ, through Christ, Etc.

May God bless, golfjack

Thank you, but I was hoping that othres would contribute ...... This makes studying the word of God more interesting and fun, when others contribute scriptures.

Here are some more scriptures I've found:

* We are one with the Lord in Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17)
* We are Jesus' brother (Hebrews 2:11)
* We are God's house (Hebrews 3:6)
* We are sealed for the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30)

I am still working on searching for scriptures ..... If anybody finds scriptures to share, please post them to this thread. Thanks and God bless.

One that is rarely noted, because it is only mentioned 3 times in the NT, is:

We are anointed (2 Corinthians 1:21; 1 John 2:20, 27).

This probably refers to the empowerment from the Holy Spirit that we recieve by the power of Christ's blood. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)

A few I picked out while reading these chapters

Called to belong to Christ Romans 1:6
We live by faith Romans 1:17
The law is written on our hearts Romans 2:15
Sanctified in Christ 1 Corinthians 1:2
Grace given us in Christ 1 Corinthians 1:4
Received the Spirit from God 1 Corinthians 2:12
We have the mind of Christ 1 Corinthians 2:16

Jesus is our source of life (John 1:4, 11:25, 14:6) thus "to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21).

I don't know if this counts, but I thought it was a cool scripture.
1 cor 2:12
12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.

How about this one?

We are sons of God thru believing in Christ (John 1:12)

As a matter of fact, let's go one step further and understand the word adoption (from Adam's fallen race), because spiritually, we are really begotten sons of God (I John 5:18).

If we remember we are His offspring, then the very nature of the Father is manifest in His son. That includes faith, sanctification, heirship, etc, etc.

I know of no being that reproduces something other than himself in both likeness and character.
