n2,

When you are in the 'I think' mode, you are producing your opinion. Let's check what Scripture says about God's foreknowledge:

“Remember this, keep it in mind,
take it to heart, you rebels.
9 Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
10 I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please
.’
11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that I will bring about;
what I have planned, that I will do (Isa 46:8-11 NIV).

Since God knows the end from the beginning for all beings, including Satan, angels human beings and all living things, that means God could not only think Satan could sin but that he would sin.

He knows what has happened and what you and I will do now and in the future because he makes known 'from ancient times, what is still to come. Nothing you or I could say or do will change God's foreknowledge. His purpose will stand and God will do all that He pleases.

We dare not reduce God to 'I think'. We must exalt his attribute of foreknowledge.

Psalm 139:4 (NLT) could not state it clearer: 'You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD'. That verse explains your question about human response. Before you say anything, God knows what you will say before you say it. What an amazing God we have!

You say, 'Satans sin was before we were made flesh'. What has that to do with God's foreknowledge and what God knows from ancient past, knows now and knows in the future?

Oz

Understand perfectly what you are saying, however,I don't agree

As for satans sin coming before we were made flesh,it's important to no because had he not we would not have been made flesh

And had He knew, our being made flesh, makes no sense!

Don't you believe in God's attribute of foreknowledge?

Why didn't you refute the evidence I provided from Scripture to support God's foreknowledge?

Yes I do believe in His foreknowledge,as everything will happen as it's written, however I still don't, can't and won't believe He know's our choice of whom we shall choose

I know why we were made, which was for His pleasure

I can't see His pleasure being for us to suffer, like the world is today, because if He know's,then what's the point

If you understood as scripture teaches ,that we were all created at the same time(first age)and because of satan we were made flesh to make a choice to whom we would follow, you'd understand my view.

Only the elect don't have free will,as they were already judged

n2,

Please provide biblical evidence to support that statement.

I'd recommend a read of, 'Can God know our future free actions?' (Tough Questions Answered, 2010. Darrell). Part of this article reads,

The classic Christian position is that God exists outside of time, i.e., He is eternal. As a result, He does not view time in a linear fashion of yesterdays, todays, and tomorrows. Rather He sees time in one eternal now, being eternally present to all moments of time. This position allows God to see and know the future free acts of humans while not in any way violating their free choice.

Are you an open theist/free-will theist in your theology on God's foreknowledge and human free-will?

I mean can you actually believe if God knew His son had to die because of the creation of satan He would had created him?

n2,

Darrell, at Tough Questions Answered, provides an answer to what you have written here:

God has prophesied the future free acts of humans beings repeatedly in the Bible. Consider the following prophesies given hundreds and sometimes even thousands of years before they occurred.

1. That Jesus would be born of a virgin (Is. 7:14) – How did God know that Mary would remain a virgin after she was told she was pregnant?

2. Jesus would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) – How did God know exactly where Mary and Joseph would go and when they would go there?

3. Jesus would be rejected by the Jewish people (Ps. 22 and Is. 53) – How did God know that an entire race of people would reject Him?

4. Jesus would have His hands and feet pierced (Ps. 22:16) – How did God know that this is how His captors would kill him?

5. Jesus would be crucified with thieves (Is. 53:12) – How did God know that thieves would be in prison at the same time as Him and that the Romans would choose to crucify them along side Him?

6. Jesus’ side would be pierced (Zech. 12:10) – How did God know that they were going to do this?

7. Jesus would be buried in a rich man’s tomb (Is. 53:9) – How did God know that a rich man would be willing to do this and that the Romans would allow it?

8. The Roman soldiers would cast lots for His garments (Ps 22:18) – How did God know that the soldiers would even want to do this much less do it?

The Bible promises us that God is all powerful and tells us that we, as Christians, are in His tender care. What a wonderful promise!! He has perfect knowledge of all, and in Him we can find rest, knowing that our future is in His all loving and all powerful hands. All praise be to our Savior! (Can God know our future free actions?)

God is Omnipotent. (Heb 1:3) God is also Omniscient. (Job 11 7:11) as our Omnipotent God, there is nothing He cannot do as our Omniscient, there is no place ae any time we can hide from Him, He is limitless.

Our Time/Space Continuum does not contain our God for He is the Creator of it also. (John 11-3) We must learn that we know nothing of our God except that, which He has revealed to us. God the Father and
God the Holy Spirit are just as Jesus once was, without physical body, they are spirits that can move through our realm and are not by what was created for us.

Now, I know this is hard to wrap the Head around but God, residing outside of our realm sees the Past, right now. is present in the Right Now, and the reason the Book of Life, the proof of Predetermination, is because He was watching the future befor He created the first thing.

Wrap your head around this and our God becomes a loving, just God that has no fault.

God's ways are not our ways.(Isaiah 55:8-9) When God gave us the Law He knew we could never keep it because He created Abraham's Buxom for the Old Testament Saints to reside in until Jesus turned them out to go to Heaven (Matt, 27:50-54)

And God did not create Satan, God created Angels with a free will to do Good or to do Evil. One of the Chief Angels, Lucifer, decided he wanted to be God and of a grade as is Michel, he led a
revelation with one third of the angels behind him and for doing so God cast him out. renamed him Satan, cast hin down to the Earth. and only allows him to come before the Throne on business.

and then there is this:

You bring up a good point that I fail on quite often. I assume people understand that God created the angel, turned devil, as perfect. But often it is unknown that satan was actually perfect once.

I can see how this little misunderstanding can really mess up a persons theology.

Like I said I know what God is as per scripture, but like I said this AGE has no purpose if He already knows

Also ,again,if you don't understand the 3 ages you won't see it

Scriptures you all posted ,I get that, very well, and please know Im not trying to diminish my Father's knowledge.

My point is,it would have to be a cruel God to let us go through that which He already knows the out come.

Not speaking on that which is written,as that will happen exactly as it's written

Think about it reasonably. If God does not know all of whats going to happen, then how can He know some of whats going to happen? Try to lay aside what seems illogical(God being cruel) and think about the bigger picture.

From this age,He makes it happen,so it can go as it's written.
Example He hardened Pharohs heart
He struck down Paul on the road to damascus

I don't pretend to know the mind of my God,so please don't think that..

Like I keep saying,if one dosn't understand the 3 ages

Therefore, what age are you?

Don't you have the ability to make a statement based on Scripture and then give the book, chapter and verse where it is found?

Spiritually I'd say I was millions of years, flesh would be 54

Which statement would you like scripture for?

That is NOT the topic you were debating for which you were advocating theological positions. Please get real and honest about the topic.

As for satans (sic) sin coming before we were made flesh, it's important to no (sic) because had he not we would not have been made flesh

And had He knew (sic), our being made flesh, makes no sense!

These 2 sentences need to be defended from Scripture. Please provide the biblical evidence to support your claims.

Final warning before you'll need to be removed from the discussion. If you have scripture to support your claims, cite them. If you don't, you're in the wrong forum. Thank you.
