There is no antichrist.Who is the Antichrist? We hear much talk on YouTube and popular movies that the “Antichrist” is a literal person who is to come in the future. He will deceive the nations and contribute to the destruction of the world. Sound familar? The question is, is this the truth?
Does or will such a man or entity really exist? Is he really coming or is he already here?
The answer will surprise you.
Here is what the Bible really says about the “Antichrist" and it will really surprise you to find out who invented this concept of an literal person called the “antichrist.”
The word “Antichrist” is only found 4 times in all of Scripture. It is not found in the Book of Revelation. It is not the same as the Beast.
1 John 2:18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.
1 John 2:22 Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.
1 John 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.
2 John 1:7
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.
John (an apostle ministering to the Jews) was using the term in a veiled response to apostate Jews who:
1. Denied the Father and the Son. Denying Christ is also denying the Father - they go together (John 8: 19, John 14: 7, John 16: 7)
2. Did not confess Jesus is from God. God the Father SENT the Son (the 2nd Person of the Trinity) into the world, in the flesh.
3. Denied that Jesus was the Messiah come in the flesh. To them, Jesus was just “another guy”. He was not God in the flesh to them.
The antichrist is not a single individual but anyone (apostate Jews and all) who denies the deity of Christ, the oneness of Christ with the Father and deny that Christ is the Messiah & was incarnate/came in the flesh. Muslims are the antichrist; Jews are antichrist, atheists are to, in short, anyone who denies these things is an antichrist according to the Bible This is what the Bible teaches.
It is not to be associated with the Beast exclusively; though he himself was an antichrist as well. (the beast will be discussed at a later date)
This is what the Bible has to say about the real antichrist. It is a "spirit" an "attitude" a "position of belief"; not a literal man who is coming in the future.
Now this position and interpretation of scripture is new. A man named John Darby in 1830 invented this new way of looking at certain scripture verses and with the help of the Scofield Bible later in the early 1900’s, went on to sweep America and the sleeping church with unbiblical hermeneutics.
We (partial preterists) call this Dispensational Theology.
This new and erroneous view has now swept America and has become the dominating theology despite being wrong. Christian Zionists (as we call them) in the USA use these interpretations to justify supporting Israel (wrongly so) among a host of other problems.
What else has this dispensational theology misinterpreted? Much.
I will next show you that the “Mark of the Beast” is NOT what you have been told!
Now you know.

There is no antichrist.
An antichrist is anybody who denies God. Simple as that.
Ditto!
I wonder if you use this same translation all the time?Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 2:18
Denying the word of God, does not make it go away.
Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 2:18
The antichrist is coming.
Not a antichrist, but the antichrist.
He will be revealed in his own time, and will be destroyed by Jesus Christ Himself, by the brightness of His coming.
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8
Do you know the name of this false messiah, whom the Lord will destroy with the brightness of His coming?
JLB
And Christ also is coming to bring relief to the Church of Thessalonica, 2 Thessalonians 1-9, or were these empty words to this 1st century church?
I wonder if you use this same translation all the time?
All scripture is quoted from the NKJV, unless otherwise noted.
There are billions of antichrists ( inhabitants ) on earth who will be destroyed soon.
Zephaniah 1
18: Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them on the day of the wrath of the LORD. In the fire of his jealous wrath, all the earth shall be consumed; for a full, yea, sudden end he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.
I would like to point out that Thomas was OFFERRED (by Jesus) to put his hand in the wound in Jesus' side -- but never did as far as we know, rather Thomas immediately said "My Lord and My God"
I think it is hard to pin any one title on any of the disciples. Thomas was all of those things...confirmer, doubter and brave. Those titles are all true of any of the disciples as well as all Christians. It's hard to reply to something pages and pages back, but I will try...
someone posted above:
...Thomas the Confirmer (I think he would like my title better than Thomas the Doubter) and if He said rightly only after he stuck his fingers into the wound (after seeing the Resurrected Christ WITH HIS OWN EYES) -- the John 20:26-28 confession, "You are my LORD and my GOD...

Thomas the Confirmer IS a better title than "Doubting Thomas" -- he could also be called "Thomas the Brave" because once, when Jesus was going up to Jerusalem when it was very dangerous to do so -- Thomas said "well, theN, LET US GO UP AND DIE WITH HIM
Danial, Matthew, and The Revelation of Christ do not speak of antichrist...
Yes i know there is off beat translation that says antichrist in The Revelation of Christ...
