Hi,
If you could, who would you like to spend the day with?

There are two for me, lol, I would like to spend the day with my grandfather who passed away, we used to go fishing all the time. This weekend my family went to the cabin we always go to, we went boating and fishing, it was the first time we had been there without my grandfather so I missed him big time.

The second person would be Peter, I can relate to him somewhat because I will be standing firm in my faith one minute and the next I won't be, also I blurt out stuff without thinking and I see him doing that a couple of times. lol

What about all of you?

Thanks!

I can understand you missing your grandfather, DavidC. Sounds like you had some good times with him. I think I would like to spend the day with Moses. My big question for him would be how come he had so much patience towards all those people he was trying to lead to safety. Seemed so frustrating. I could do with more patience I think, when dealing with people. I have heaps of patience with other things, just not so good with people. At times.

☺Now that you mention it, I want to know that, too.

I would also like to know exactly where did Moses die? Or was he taken up? How long did he have to wait to die? Those questions.

Deu 34:5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
Deu 34:6 and he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulcher unto this day.

I would love to spend one more day with my Grandmother as she was a huge influence to me especially when we would sit and talk about God.
I would also like to sit with Paul as we both came out from under religion's hold in very simular ways.

Would you mind going in detail how you came out of religion? If not, all is good. Thanks.

Latin root word for religion is bondage, which is different then that of Gods pure religion of James 1:27, but that of following tradition and the doctrine of a mans church, not Gods true Church. The Latin root word is religare as re is a prefix that means return and ligare means to bind. Religion tells you what you can and cannot do and becomes socially acceptable by mans interpretations, traditions and doctrines. Religion is what nailed Christ to the cross because the Bible is not socially acceptable to society, if it were then Christ would have died in vain. God is not about mans religion, nor does he recognize organized religion. God is about a personal relationship with you and His son Jesus Christ.

I was following the traditions and doctrines of the church, but learned I was neglecting the very words of God as I believed everything that man spoke from the pulpit even though the scriptures did not line up with what they were teaching. Sort of like Paul who through Roman law use to kill Christians until his conversion and his Spiritual eyes were opened.

Thanks for the detail.

I would love to spend the day with my prodigal son... perhaps some day.

I think a day with Elijah would be nice.

How old is he?

My parentd have a prodigal son too, my brother. Hopefully he will come back one day.
He is 18. We had a great time raising him. We did almost everything together, including wrestle. This was him several years ago at Nationals. He is in the maroon.

After his sister died of an overdose, we all kind of fell apart. I'm recovering, but he's not. His best friend tried to commit suicide while we were at his sister's funeral..... that didn't go well and a week later his best friend mom jumped out the car door and killed herself.

Too much death and trauma in a short window. He went from an athletic, talented young man with great grades to almost failing his high school year with all d minus....
He's living with some guy who has a house in town and he's washing dishes for a living. He has no real aspirations other than smoking pot and drinking.

It hurts.....

That's a lot to deal with. Sorry to hear about his sister, is that your daughter or was he adopted? Sorry for all the questions.

My brother pretty much went awol when he was 21, now he is 24. Won't go into detail, but yay, it does hurt.

Wow, three years... that's about how long ago my daughter died. The nice thing about death is it's pretty final. Yes, dreams and hopes die, but the worry goes away as well as the anxiety. I hope that doesn't sound cold. She's still in my heart, but there isn't any worry.

My cousin adopted her at birth. We were never strangers.

Now I worry about my son.... and no, I don't want to go to his funeral. I've already hurried 2 of my children

Sorry to hear that! You have had some major trials it sounds like.

Ha, it's my life story. But in Christ, we are overcomes.
All things work to the good....

You haven't seen your brother in 3 years? Do you know where he is?

I have seen him, talked to him a few times but now not for about 7 months. He only lives 5 miles away.
