Have any of you ever considered being anything apart from Christian? Why is this the path you've chosen?

Well, since I live in Egypt, and most of the people are Muslim, I know a fair handful of info about the Islam. They're not all as Christian-hating as they show on TV, they're actually extremely cheerful and nearly always show a great deal of hospitality. Some of our old testament stories have also made their way into their bible(like the story of Abraham for example)and when you tell them about Jesus, some of them do believe that he existed, but that he wasn't God's Son. Just a prophet. The reason I follow Christ though, is that I believe that I live here for a reason. I know that God wants me to share my faith with other people, in whatever oppertunity He will present. And sometimes during my quiet-time, it just feels as if he is right there, sitting beside me and listening to me, a great comforter at all times. Some other times I also wondered if He really is there, if He is real. But then I always thought, that it is better to believe in something, then nothing at all. People are afraid of death, they want to be re-assured that there will be a place after they die, waiting for them. I do too, everyone does, but the other thing is, God has just such an overpowering right to be loved and trusted and respected, that we should not hold back and keep it for ourselves. We shoul honour Him with every fiber in our bodies that He created in His image.
Sorry for this great big essay thing, it kinda flowed out of my fingers:)

well for me, i was brought up kinda in a Christian home, but no pressure what so ever

so since I was small i've been a christian, it's just been the way for me, I can't even think of what life without Christ could be like, it scares me lol

but the reason i still trust in Jesus is that it's totally true, something that it has proven to me, i accepted that as a child and it continues to today as well.

I couldn't even deflect from it now, since all my morals thoughts of what is right and what is wrong and based of the fruit of the spirit described in Galatians 5:17-23

I have. I did turn my back on God in 8th grade...and I didn't come back until 10th or 11th grade. I hated God. However, I still considered myself as "Christian" (which obviously I wasn't since I did hate God)...only because I grew up in a Christian home and whatnot.

But I'm back and I love Him with my whole heart. I found myself, however, wanting to just give up and turn my back on God because a Christian walk is so hard. But I'm not that kind of person who just gives up when things get tough. I stick with them. I know that God has something in store for me and I hope I can please him.

I was raised in a Christian family and lived a Christian life up until my freshman year in high school, some events happened that caused me to turn my back on God, and by my Junior year I reached this point where I just stopped believing that God existed. March of this year, I was born again.
