Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, wrought in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
7:6 But now we have been delivered from the law? that held us in death. "for ye shall surely die" That we should serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the letter.
7:7 Shall we say that the law is sin, In no way! but I had not known sin, unless the law had said THOU SHALT NOT COVET
7:8 but sin , taken opportunity by the Commandment, wrought in me all manner of evil desires. for apart from the law sin is dead.

THE STRENGTH OF SIN IS THE LAW! Paul never nor does the scriptures EVER BREAK THE LAW INTO PARTS! their is not a part that relates to the sacrifice that has passed and away! nor is there a "moral law" seperate from what Paul and the gospel speaks throughout scripture.

That is a lie brought into the chruch by satan!

Now why is satan so determined to get a believer under any part of the law, to earn there righteousness? Because if one attempts to justifiy themselves by the flesh in any way? They have lost the power of grace. Ye are cut off from Christ, ye have fallen from grace!

The bible is very clear, only grace can over come sin! For those who seem so worried about other peoples sin? Learn and preach the grace of God apart from the law and your hypocricy!

FOR SIN WILL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU, BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE.

what man has anything from God that he did not receive by grace? If they received it, why do they act like they have earned it?
Maybe all they have is what the pharisee had. A white painted tomb. Hypocrites!

Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

The royal law is to love others as you love yourself.

Now those who claim to keep the law of Moses, use the law to judge others. Yet they do not keep it!

We see in Rom 2 that Paul ask those who preach the law, do you break the law? The answer is clearly shown to be YES!

for this reason Gods Name is blasphemed!

The reason sinners will not come and be a part of most churches is because they see the hypocricy of those who are teaching and set of rules and standards, that they know none keep! They see right through the phony religious mask! And they judge God based upon the hypocricy they see in those who teach the law.

Why did Jesus say it would be easier for a harlot to be saved than the hypocrite? Because the hypocrite looks at Gods law and thinks they can "with a few adjustments to the law" keep it! The harlot looks and knows beyond doubt they are a sinner and must depend completely upon the mercy of God!
No! one must become a fool to be made wise, weak to be made strong! ONLY WHEN ONE ADMITS THEY CANNOT KEEP THE LAW, will the gospel be granted unto them.

Jesus brought the law to its fullest measure? He said that it was not just the act of sin that broke the commandment but the very thought of sin in the heart and mind.
This was the purpose of the law, to make all men guilty before God, to exspose the indwelling sin of the flesh.

Jesus said that not One Jot or tittle could pass away from the law until all is fulfilled?
Now the whole concept that the law has parts that have been fufilled and other parts that have not been fulfilled, is just made up religious nonsense.

It is written that whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point is guilty of all! So the law is one complete whole!
Paul uses circumcision as an example of those who would attempt to be justified by the law in Gal 5 and then goes on to say in Gal 5:14 that all the law is fulfilled in one word. LOVE!

now he did not ever break the law into parts! and named the 10 commandments in fact, as the law in which we are delivered from. Rom 7:7 He even reveals that the commandment "thou shalt not covet" produces an evil desire of the flesh to do that which the letter demands us not to do!

Just because one does not steal does not mean they have kept the commandment? because no man can keep all the law!
Also the ALL THE law is fulfilled in love? only when one has the Love of God in their heart can they keep that which the letter demanded!

Only when we look to give and bless by the love of God have we touched the righteousness of that which was written.

For the law is spiritual!

The Love of God in Christ is the fulfillment of that which is seen in the written code. One can labor all they want to keep the letter of the law, but until they enter into the love oF God And love others as He loves, they have never kept any part of the law.

JOHN summed up the whole of the truth?
This is the Fathers commandments? Believe on His Son and love as He gave commandment.

PAUL summed it up this way? Nothing profits anything but faith working by love.

We should see then that by the letter no man can keep the law. For the flesh of all men have indwelling sin, and the flesh will always be in trangression of the written code.

But when we walk in the Spirit and we walk in love? ALL the law is satisfied. we make the law complete and whole in love.

The law was never given to man so that man could justify Himself before God! The law was given to make all men guilty before God. Only In Christ are we set free from the law of sin and death, and come under new law? The law of Christ! This is my commandment? That you love one another as I have loved you.

Do you see the wisdom of God? He gave us a law that we can keep! For our ability to love others is based upon our ability to understand His Love for us. This is spiritual! The letter cannot contain this wisdom, and only takes away from its beauty and simplicty.

Pray the prayer of a true law-keeper? Lord teach me Your Love for me, that I may love others as you love me. Amen

Rom 3:19

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Rom 3:20

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Gal 3:10

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
Gal 3:11

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Gal 3:12

And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

Gal 3:22

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Gal 3:23

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Gal 3:24

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

I find it really hard to understand how satan has so blinded much of the "church" It seems so few understand what is so clear?:pray

The 10 Commandments was given to condemn and make all men guilty before God.
1 Cor 3 The ministry of death and condemnation, written and engraved on stones.

Why did God do this?

Remember the lie of satan? "you can be as God, knowing good and evil" Man in his natural condition thinks that he is something! All man are selfish! We think of ourselves first and we go about in this world to establish a name for ourself.

This is the babylon condition of all men!

The law came in the make all man see that NONE ARE RIGHTEOUS, NO NOT ONE!
NO MAN IS AS GOD, AND KNOWS GOOD AND EVIL!

This is the purpose of the law! That all men might turn to Christ and look to Him alone as the truth of Good and evil.

We see that the law works against the self principle? Thou shalt not, thou , thou , thou!

The New Covenant turns away from self and looks to God in the face of Christ. The New Covenant Is God saying "I will" , "i will"

To those who would serve God, take what I have said and read again 1 Cor 3. See if God is not saying? "look away from yourself and behold the beauty of My Beloved Son, Hear Him!

For only as we behold Him, are we changed from glory to glory!

Satan deceives today as he has always done? "did God really say" No one can read the New Testament and not know that we have been set free from the law of Moses, The ten commandments can never charge a believer in Christ with sin.
Nor can any man be justified by the 10 commandments.

Its by faith in Christ Jesus alone that one is justified before God.

For it is written, That in Him we have no sin, and that we cannot sin who have been born of Him.

Does that mean that our flesh will not lust after ungodly things? No but it does mean that being justified by His Blood we can fight a good fight of faith and expect His Grace to overcome sin, everytime.

For sin will not have dominion over you, because YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW, but under GRACE.

the only biblical way to overcome sin? Is by grace! All else is false teaching.

Paul ask those who desired to be under law, do you not hear the law?

The law declares the NO MAN is "moral" none is good no not one!
So what draws many back to the law? why can they not hear its verdict?

For God will send them strong delusion? for even until this day their minds are blinded at the reading of the Old Testament and Moses.

For God gives grace to the humble but He resist the proud.

We see this even when the Lord walked upon the earth? He would go into a group of hypocrites and sinners are speak words of mercy that the sinners would hear but that the hypocrite thought they had no need of His Mercy?

He said I did not come to call the righteous but the sinner to repentance? Now ALL were sinners but the hypocrite would not hear His Words of forgiveness.

It is the same today? Those who look to be justified by the law will not hear the law nor will they hear Gods mercy.

Rom 2:3-4 And thinkest thou this O man, that judges them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shall escape the judgment of God? Or despisest thou the RICHES of His goodness and forbearance and longsuffereng; NOT KNOWING that it is the GOODNESS OF GOD that leadeth thee to repentance.

Be sure that those who judge others by the law will be judged by the law! Not this watered down version that many attempt to teach, BUT BY EVERY JOT AND TITTLE! the whole law.

All men will be judged according to Pauls gospel, do not be deceived.

I would also suspect this applies to the self-righteous (those who think they have it all figured out but really don't).

I would also suspect this applies to the self-righteous (those who think they have it all figured out but really don't).
I would think the term "self-righteous" would apply to those who are ignorant of Gods righteousness and go about to establish their own by the law. I think that is the most common understanding of the term? I think some who are "puffed up" better describes those who have knowledge of new testament truth, but have yet to crucify the flesh.

new wine into old mine skins, just puffs up and both are lost.
But when one puts new wine into new skins both are saved.

Would you like to adress the issue of the thread or make a point on the post? The rules of the forum suggest that we try to stay on topic, or thats my understanding?

Hi, Mitspa.

Has anyone ever told you that there is a lot of room for you to improve upon your use of the question mark(?), or am I the first one?

I know. "Back to TOPIC!!!!"

Forgive the weaknesses that I have in such things, but please do try to stay on topic?

Psa 2:1-2 Why do the nations rage and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed.

2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The lord shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure.

Hi Mitspa,

I hope you know how to laugh. It's not against the law. lol. Well I guess that all depends what you like to laugh about. Here's a question: Do you ever laugh in the Spirit? There has to be a safe place to laugh.

Please keep to the topic of the thread.

Good morning Mitspa,

It appears you don't like to be personal. That's ok. Normally, the harder the outside is, the softer the inside.

1 Cor 1:30 But of Him are you IN CHRIST JESUS, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption: 1:31 That according as it is written, he that glories, let him glory IN THE LORD.

as we turn away from the letter of the law and behold Christ Jesus in the spirit, we are changed from glory to glory into His Image.

All by faith! we behold the truth of Christ and who we are IN HIM. like Peter who walk upon the water as he beheld the Lord so will we as we behold Him in faith.

As He is so are we in this world.

Jesus said "do not think that I will accuse you to the Father, there is one who accuses you, Moses in whom you trust"

We see this truth throughout the epistles, Paul takes great effort and time to show ever believer that the Law is not of faith and works against the believer, even producing sinful desires in the flesh.

Be sure that satan is the one who has brought law and its burden back into the church. For when the Lord was nailed to the Cross the written code that was contrary to us, was nailed to His Cross.
Having disarmed satan and his demonic kingdom!

So it is satan that desires the law to be laid upon the believer.
He is the ACCUSER OF THE BRETHERN. satan uses the law to make a charge of sin against those who are justified by the Blood of Christ.

In Him, we have no sin and cannot sin.

to be "in Him" means we are walking in faith and righteousness of faith.

Know that all false teaching is to attack our justified condition IN HIM. Even these crazy "elect" doctrines are made to challenge the righteousness of faith, and abiding in Christ by the spirit.

If you know and love Him? rejoice and be glad, for He has become your righteousness, holiness and wisdom.

None can take you from His Hand, if He corrects you, rejoice again because He plans to bring you nearer to His Kingdom.

Cast out the bondwoman! reject all those who preach and teach legalism in any form. Flee from these people, to not be entangled with the yoke of bondage!

In Him, we have no sin and cannot sin.

This statement is non-scriptural...

1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

You may believe anything you wish, but John clearly says here that we sin and we have an advocate in Heaven, Christ.

Anyone who knows the scirptures , knows that I was referring to 1 John 3:5-9

It is very clear that one who is "In Christ" cannot and does not sin.

John is speaking to children, young men, and fathers.
I suggest that when one passes the childhood condition of the Faith and enters into the Spiritual realm, these scriptures become very clear. Just as Paul told some I could not speak to you as unto "spiritual" but as to "carnal" as to babes in Christ.

I have made this point to you before, but for others sake I will make it again.

John is saying the same thing Paul said over and over?
The flesh is sinful but if we walk in the spirit we are justified and sinless in Christ.

So I am glad to hear from you again but do we really need to go around this circle of carnal reasonings of scripture again? The gospel has not changed, but I have grown some, and may have more patience to teach now, so lets try it again if you like?

Glad to meet a perfect man...

Jas 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
Jas 3:3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
Jas 3:4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
Jas 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
Jas 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
Jas 3:7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
Jas 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

No man but you.
