Why do people get grey hair when they get old? Is there a way to stop it? Does the Bible talk about grey hair?

Dave what kind of question' oh nevermind. Come lay back down on the couch and tell Dr Lewis all about it.Put the big bird doll down and the GI Joe, and talk to me, now were you abused as a child ? Were you ever run away from home ? Were you beat as a child ? Now don't lie to Dr Lewis, have you always played with toys this late in life ? No Dave I do not want to play hide and seek,And no Dave I do not have a coloring book.

The psychiatrist is IN. Dave, I hope you have 5 cents. :biggrin

Now about gray hair. I don't know how we get it or why, but I know I'm gonna dye til I die!

:waving~

Proverbs 20:29 says: The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head.

I have always liked greying temples on a man... but I am an old lady! :lol

Grey hair is caused by the grey matter of one's brain dribbling out over time. :nod

  • Goosey: "I'm outta here!"

(That's my Russian Grey, "Goosey". She's here with me mostly as I type.)

When they get old? How about when they're still young? In my area, there is a particular family in which all the mens' hair turns white when they are still in their twenties.

I have never seen naturally grey hair! Have you? Are you certain? Just go up to someone whom you think has grey hair and examine it closely. You will find that it is a mixture of dark hairs and white hairs which give the overall impression of grey.

I get gray hairs just trying to round up all the chocolate cows running around the ranch! :crazy

Paidion, you know you're right. When I first read your thread I thought, hey I have enough gray hair on my own head I should know gray hair when I see it. But, upon closer inspection, it's not gray, it's white.

However, my hair isn't either gray or white. It's L'Oreal 8G Golden Blond and will remain so unless I decide to go wild and go 8RB Reddish Blond again. And, it will remain a shade of L'Oreal until I'm a grandma. Once I'm a grandma, then I'll let it go snow white like my mom and grandmother did when they were grandmas.

btw, Sparhawk, Goosey is a cutie! And he looks like a natural gray!

I know a woman my age 54! Who has been white grey all her life. Also my first cousin who is now dead, and was a year younger also started turning grey early, as a matter of fact, his whole body aged early.
