It's not normal to be afflicted by that, it's called tinnitus. Some people have it constantly. Some people get relief from natural remedies. Gingko biloba is a good place to start; it's cheap, and has lots of benefits including mental function.

No it isn't. I just looked it up a few days ago. Occasional ringing ears aren't a problem. It is when it becomes constant that it becomes a problem.
 
Mine are usually ringing and possibly have been as far back as I can remember. (Or since I started wearing headphones and listening to loud music, maybe. It's hard to say. I used to use headphones with loud music to tune out family arguments, so I'm sure that wasn't good for my ears.)
I'm just so used to it I don't usually notice.
