Are the government's motives really above board?

It is interesting a big oil tanker out there has Condaleeza Rice written on it and Bush is an oilman.

It is also interesting Bush likely got his money for his first oil well from the Bush family connections with the bin laden family.

It is also interesting that Europe got a major portion of its oil from Iraq and the Eurodollar is so strong against the US buck. It is also interesting that Britain did not get involved with the Eurodollar.

It is also interesting that the 911 crew were mostly Saudi Arabian, where USA gets most of its oil. And why were Saudi Arabian planes allowed to fly right after 911 when all other planes were grounded?

Smells purdy fishy in my opinion.

Hi there!

Danie 2:20-21
20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

1 Peter 2:13-17
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

Romans 13:1-6

1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

It is probably a better Christian act to lift the President in prayer rather than try to tear him down publicly under the title of "christian".

Hi there!

Would you have preached that message in 1942 Germany?

JMW

If you ever believed what G.W, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Powell were saying about WMD's you are an absolute fool, without question. Accept the fact that your government lied to you. It wasn't the first time and it sure wont be the last.

Excuse me, do NOT call me a fool based on your opinion. What proof do you have that there are not weapons of mass destruction over there? My government did NOT lie to me. Even if there are not Weapons of Mass Destruction over there, there could've been a mistake, you have no proof they lied to us, and you have NO right whatsoever to accuse them of lying.

"I STAND WITH PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH"

JMW, let's take a look at what those who are against the Iraq war now said before we went in:
--------------------
"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to
develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
- President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998
-------------------
"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass
destruction program."
- President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998
-------------------
"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear,
chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest
security threat we face."
- Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998
-------------------
"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times
since 1983."
- Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998
-------------------
"[We] urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
- Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin,
Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998
-------------------
"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
- Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998
-------------------
"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass
destruction and palaces for his cronies."
- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999
-------------------
"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons
programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a illicit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."
- Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others,
December 5, 2001
-------------------
"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a
threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the
mandated of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them."
- Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002
-------------------
"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical
weapons throughout his country."
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002
-------------------
"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to
deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002
-------------------
"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002
-------------------
"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are
confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and
biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence
reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002
-------------------
"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority
to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002
-------------------
"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002
-------------------
"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do"
- Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002
-------------------
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that
Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members .. It is clear that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002
--------------------
"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002
--------------------
"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal,
murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a
particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to
miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real."
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

It is too much for some people to accept. Yes it is only USSR/Russia and every other country and state which would use such propoganda. But never "one nation under God." No no they would never lie. No no they would NEVER do such a thing.

Talk about a denial problem and a sucessful brainwashing.

Let American decide the fate of all nations. God is on our side yes He is. God is always on our side no matter what we do yes He is. Let Bush be King of the World! Let us, America the Beautiful decide what is good for the rest of the world. Rah rah yay yay.

"Let us do evil that good may result!"

Sick, very sick.

The invasion of Iraq is Bush's securing of future oil interests, adding to the US' reserve. JMW, we knew almost instantly after 9/11 that the terrorists were al Qaeda and while many were Sauds that doesn't mean their government was responsible for their actions.
The burden of proof is on you and the US gov to show they existed at all, Bush has said that they have rescinded that claim.
Did I say that? I didn't think so. **Remember: Respect those God has put in authority over you. I pray for him and our government every day.
If I wanted a leader choosen by divine right I would demand an absolutist Hapsburg monarchy, but I would much rather live in a democracy.

JMW - you keep saying that the Bushes had 'close ties' with bin Laden - as if they had him over for Thanksgiving dinner or something. Is this just another unsubstantiated slam against the president? Did you get the info from MoveOn.org? You liberals hate Bush SO much that you have stopped seeing and thinking clearly. antitox gave you a list of examples that clearly show that our ENTIRE nation's intelligence believed that Iraq had WMD's and that Iraq was a threat to the Mid-east, the world, and therefore, us. You respond by saying, "What's your point?" puh-lease

The point is that if 'Bush lied', then our entire government lied, the UN lied, Russia, France, Germany, etc. ALL LIED! And you keep saying that there are no WMD's as if you know for sure, and then you dismiss anybody who says that we haven't found them YET. Why do you think that it would be easy to find? Do you know where they've been hidden? Have you read the reports that suggest that WMD's are thought to have been transported to Iran or Syria? You probably dismiss those reports as patently false simply because they go against what you have already made up in your mind. Reports have come in that chemical weapons labs have been discovered, but the chemicals or the missles they could have been put in at a moment's notice have not been found. The liberal media that you listen to unwaveringly reports, "WMD's Still Not Found!" But that is not the entire truth. But I guess ignorance is more acceptable to you than intellectual honesty. I'm sorry for the tone of this post, but I am getting seriously annoyed with you liberals.

This is only going to become a partisan argument and since I can already see that JMW is not going to follow a logical debate, I have no interest in joining in.

Nothing to do with being a liberal. It is a well known fact. George Bush Sr. began fostering a relationship with the bin laden family decades ago.

The point is that if 'Bush lied', then our entire government lied,

Now you are catching on.

the UN lied, Russia, France, Germany, etc. ALL LIED!

Um, the UN and these countries asked for more proof before anyone invade Iraq. The US didn't listen. Canada and other nations asked to wait for a measely two more weeks and then they would be in. Bush refused. And now all he has is Britain and Poland and several noname countries for a coalition. Absurdly laughable. Laughably, once USA realized there were no WMD to be found they then asked for several more months to find WMD. Two weeks - No way that's absurd. "May we have several months please." Shameful.

And you keep saying that there are no WMD's as if you know for sure, and then you dismiss anybody who says that we haven't found them YET.

I guess we can all have our little fantasies can't we?

Why do you think that it would be easy to find? Do you know where they've been hidden?

They aren't hidden because they don't exist.

Have you read the reports that suggest that WMD's are thought to have been transported to Iran or Syria? You probably dismiss those reports as patently false simply because they go against what you have already made up in your mind. I see, so it has nothing to do with truth. It has to do with being a conservative. Sorry, I had no idea.
