:chinOK: Lets look at these verses of Christ and ask Him if they had ever been in Christ and then backslide to the point where The Holy Spirit could no longer reach them??? See Gen. 6:3. I mean that some 'ones' had been teaching this O.S.A.S. thing from long long past that time period!

Matt. 7
[6] Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

(Hello you all!)
....

[15] Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
[17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
[18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
[19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
[20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; [[but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven]].

[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and [[in thy name have cast out devils? ]] and in thy name done many wonderful works?

(sure these ones had been Born Again to cast out devils 'IN CHRISTS NAME' , unless satan can cast out satan? Hey, you can look that one up!)

[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

(interesting! but does that mean that these ones were never Born Again in the first place or that they backslid to the End result of opposite the Heb. 11:1-2 ??!)

[24] Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
[25] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

(sure sounds like DOING Christ will is REQUIRED!)

[26] And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, ...'

Obedience is the True Agapie Love that God ONLY ACCEPTS! And ONLY these will be saved!

--Elijah

Colossians 2:16 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:"

Don't let any man judge you about ordinances that were nailed to the cross with Christ. God is not a respecter of person, He has a plan and you are part of that plan. This chapter has been steering you away from the traditions of men, and into what is real in His Word. We are not to allow any person to judge us on those things that God has ordained us to be eaten and drunk. A holy day is a feast day that has been set aside just for worship, or for worshipping or respecting any day over another.

"Sabbath" in the Hebrew tongue means "rest". Hebrews chapter four makes it very clear that Christ is our rest every day of the week. Don't put one day above another in respecting Christ, for we are required to put Christ foremost every day of our lives. The "new moon" is going by the moon calendar, the calendar of Satan and we are not children of the night, but of the day. All places in the Scriptures concerning and given in moons [or months] deal with Satan's people, and those given in days and years deal apply to the children of God. When you become a child of God, you should rest in Christ every day of the week, and respect all days alike.

Are you talking to me??

You are the only one in the room complaining of being yoked with the Revelation 17:1-5 ones.

Whatever that means?

We are one in Christ that is the unity.... Who here says Sunday is sacred?

Rom 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Rom 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

"We Catholics, then have precisely the same authority for keeping Sunday holy instead of Saturday as we have for every other article of our creed, namely, the authority of the church... whereas you who are Protestants have really no authority for it whatever; for there is no authority for it (Sunday sacredness) in the Bible, and you will not allow that can be authority for it anywhere else.
Both you and we do, in fact, follow tradition in this matter: but we follow it, believing it to be a part of God's word, and the (Catholic) Church to be its divinely appointed guardian and interpreter; you follow it (the Catholic Church), denouncing it all the time as a fallible and treacherous guide, which 'makes the commandments of God of none effect' quoting Matthew 15:6"

OK: Isa. 5 was Israel last warning to see if there might be few who would accept Christ.

It was HIS HOUSE! verse 7

[1] Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:
[2] And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
[3] And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge,[[ I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.]]
[4] What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild

(always only a REMNANT were saved)

What comes next?? See the Matt. 24:21 repeat of...

[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
[22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

And what did Isa. 5 follow on to say...

[5] And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:
[6] And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
[7] For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression ..’

And if one reads on in Matt. 21, they will see what is to follow! Most all on these sites are professed Christians, who will do anything to make God stop this ‘GREAT TRIBULATION except repent of the one thing that they all hold dear, and that is the first day over the Lords 7th Day Sabbath! Yes, He BLESSED and SANCTIFIED it! (the day)

And this has nothing to do with the Rev. 17:1-5 babbling ones! Except they are the reason for the Lords hand to be withdrawn. Which have UNITY on nothing other than Sunday Sacredness.

So the Lord removes his protection of earth for the testing to see who really LOVES HIM! Are we in that time!! Just keep your TV tuned in!

Elijah,

My answers:

I looked at the old and new testaments, and I prayed and prayed - and came to the conclusion that Jesus was who He said he was. In the 36 years since that day, I have come to believe in Him even more.

John 3:16

New International Version (NIV)

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
.

After reading the Old and New Testament...

Do you really believe that Jesus is God's one and only Son?

The sons of God saw the daughters of men...
Ge. 6:2

...The sons of God came unto the daughters of men...
Ge. 6:4

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD...
Job 1:6

Again there was a day when tthe sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD...
Job 2:1

...And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38:7

...Adam, which was the son of God.
Lk. 3:38

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:18

As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Ro. 8:14

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Ro. 8:19

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God...
Ph. 2:15

For it became him, for whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory...
He. 2:10

Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1 Jn. 3:1

Beloved, now are we the sons of God...
1 Jn. 3:2

Yes.
He is the one-and-only Savior.
Do you know what a Savior is?

Do you know who Jesus is?

There is an eternity, an ocean, a world of difference between Jesus and the rest of us. ;)

Here is a question for you: If I believe in any OTHER "son of God", will I not perish and have eternal life?

Will (you) not perish and have eternal life?

I never heard of anybody perishing, and having eternal life...

Can you please explain that one?

Nevermind, I got what you meant.

I think you need to believe the record God gave of his Son, The Bible makes it very clear that God had sons before he created man, and Adam was his son, and we should be called the sons of God.

I think you're cherry picking, and forgeting what the record of God's only begotten Son actually says.

My thread? My reply is that all of the Jews were called the son of God. Most were themselves aborted because of their free choice to do so. Isaiah 5:1-4
And in John 12:42-43 we see why?

Regardless, as the disciples were put to death by their ex/church brethren, the new extended church began! see Isa. 5:3 for who they chose?

Me again: Well now these ones are as the two day ones of Rev. 17:1-5, they have the prophesy given in Ezekiel 20:25 that are to confuse most of mankind! As the Tower of babel ones are doing all around here with all sorts of thus sayeth somebody?? And yes, they are united! at least on one thing, huh?

And the Lord is calling them out! Rev. 18:4
