Can't access this site at all when using google chrome. I get an error message advising me to mail to the webmaster or flush my DNS cache. The forum works when I use IE and Firefox, though. I did delete all cookies and flushed the DNS cache, but no changes. Any ideas?

Interesting. Chrome is the only browser I've been using through this whole ordeal (except some Safari on my iPod).

So to confirm, you've definitely cleared your DNS cache, and cleared Chrome's cookies and cache?

Yeah I did. Including ipconfig /flushdns, but it didn't change anything.
Now I also deleted the *entire* browser history, and it seems to work now. So I guess my issue is solved. Oh well.

A few minutes ago the board went down on me, error 404.
I'll get back to you if it picks up at all.

Yea, oops, I knew about the board going down shortly before 5. I was doing a backup when I realized I was sucking all the bandwidth from the site so I had to cancel the backup. I'll try it again tomorrow morning if not too many people are online... cause now I know a backup will put the site down for about 10 or 15 minutes.

Thanks and please let me know if you can tell a difference, or if you experience any issues. I'm shutting down for the day so I'm done playing lol!

That's very interesting because it took me less than 2 seconds to log in and read your message and less than a second for me to hit reply to where my reply box came up.

What browser are you using? Have you deleted your internet cache and cookies? I'd like to help ya out if I can.

Thanks!

P.S. Took the count of 2 from the time I hit Reply to the time if fully posted. Took anther count of 2 for me to go from hitting the edit button to actually being able to edit.

it is about equal 30 to 40 seconds half the other half time or 2-4

sometime it is quicker to forget going back and forth in the site and just start over...

please note I am a granny operating the wonderful new windows 8

This site is working great for me. The new fixes you've done StoveBolts have made it a little better too...

I'm using a mixture of Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Android, iOS6, WinVista, WinXP and Win7. All good.

I'm loading Windows 8 today and will do some further testing. What browser are you using? Are you using Internet Explorer or Chrome? Also, what anti virus program are you using?

test

okay, 2 seconds, that's good!
Was that after clearing your internet cache?

Note: reba Nick allenwynne , There are several scheduled services that run at particular times of the day in the background. The more information I can gather in this thread, the better it may help me to see if it's one of the services because I can use your post time as a time stamp to see if it coincides with a scheduled service.

Thanks!

tis moving fast this morning 7 my time
That's good to know. I just staggered the time slots that particular services were being ran so we didn't have multiple services trying to run at the same time. I suspect our site was running it's slowest between the top of the hour till about a quarter past the hour and then again on the half hour. Hopefully with spreading out the times across the entire hour, we will see some consistency with the site, but I need our members feedback.

Thanks!
