The federal government has reached contract agreements with six entities, five research groups and a company for the Neural Engineering System Design program designed to merge human brains with computers, according to a report in Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

The Biological Technologies Office announced this week that the contracts – with Brown University, Columbia, the Seeing and Hearing Foundation, John B. Pierce Lab, Paradromics and Cal-Berkeley – focus on the next stage of a strategy to blend the human brain with hard drives and memory chips.

Will God say, stop messing with my creation.

I seem to be missing something. Can you clarify the theological point you are bringing to the table?

Here's another...
The US military has revealed $65 of funding for a programme to develop a 'brain chip' allowing humans to simply plug into a computer.

They say the system could give soldiers supersenses and even help treat people with blindness, paralysis and speech disorders

The goal is 'developing an implantable system able to provide precision communication between the brain and the digital world,' DARPA officials said.

What is your position...theologically speaking? I'm trying to steer you in the right direction regarding the rules of this forum. If you are only interested in discussing the posted link, maybe this is the wrong forum but if you are presenting a particular position to debate, then we need to know what that is.

I looked at all the forums and chose this forum on purpose. I chose the theology forum hoping for some biblically based theological answers.

I didn't want to make it an ethical question but am asking what does the bible say on this issue.
I didn't want to make it an end time question....because it may or may not be an end time issue. Perhaps this thread will head in that direction...
But as for know, I asked it in a theological light.

Otherwise, do you have a position on the OP? Do you think God will say, enough is enough?

In the way future...when we may be running on almost all computer power as this process gets developed...what happens to our sin nature? that's just one theological question.

What I think doesn't matter. I am unable to answer your question because you haven't presented a specific point made for defense.

I see you like all out debate....made for defense...rather than a discussion about the topic. I simply asked a question.

I think the point is we know God will say enough is enough. When He is going to is unknown.

God will say stop, and then He will stop it.

1Co 15:24
Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.

Where will this mixing of chips with biology become a reality?

Revelation may hint at it with some of the strange descriptions presented there.

So prosthetic limbs are "messing with God's creation?" I don't get this.

No matter how much hardware we might end up connected to, there's still a soul that God will recognize, love, and desire to be saved.

You completely missed the point barbarian.

I'm not sure you have a point. I don't think you've thought this through very well.

But a good start would be C.S. Lewis:
"You aren't a body. You are a soul. You have a body."

I think I can answer your question. There are scriptures, too. God will say enough is enough. He did it before with the flood.

Matthew 24:37-39 says it's going to be just like it was back in Noah's day. (That one there takes us back to Genesis 6 and the Nephilim, which no one here seems to agree with, yet can not debunk what scripture says in Genesis 6.)
This computer modifications to the flesh body will affect people down to their very DNA. Once that happens, one is non-redeemable. It's just the tip of the mark of the beast is what is being talked about here. Of course they're putting a humanitarian swing to it, they want people to sign up for it. I've watched many vids about this trans-humanism, and they're looking for immortality.

Revelation 9:6 states, 6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.../
this trans-humanism stuff is tied in with this scripture here, I believe. I don't think that they will find immortality, but do think that they will achieve being able to make a man live 5 or 6 hundred years. But life on earth wont be worth living at that time ('cept for those in Christ).
Even if there was not a God, I would not want this. Oh they will be able to help the blind see and all that, it will do that...but you can't trust the government. They are guaranteed to have lots of nasty "control features" built into it. Wanted for a crime? they just turn you off and come get you.

Interesting thought...one can become through engineering non-redeemable. Personally I don't think that's the mark of the beast.
Here's a question, can our sin nature be engineered out of us?

Could this be a form of Genetic engineering?
Rev 13:5 The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image would also speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed.

No the sin nature can not be engineered out of us. That would make scripture a liar.
That probably is genetic engineering spoken of in Revelation. We know they can clone now.
image of the first beast....sounds like it could be a clone.

Something they couldn't even dream of 100 years ago.
