I have a copy or King James, NIV, and New English Translation on my book Shelf. I usually use King James.

I want a copy of King James pre 1940s, because There is some interesting word changes in some spots that happened conveniently alongside Kinsey's research. :tongue

:nod Lance~

You are also a man who studies then... :thumb

I will ask the Lord to SO bless your moments in reading and studying to your heart that you may fall deeply and inextricably in love with Him and His word!

:biggrin shesprayinginHISpresence ~ and HE inclines His ear for His Son's sake.

Greetings! Lance,

Would an online copy suite your purpose?
The AV 1611 KJV can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/cott1388/kjv.html

1940's was an interesting time from other world-line perspectives also - recall that Hitler had announced his intent to invade Great Britain. That's around the time of Anne Frank & Winston Churchill and in church history also includes:

1940: Church historians in the seminaries were being deliberately slow to accept the study of "American church history," as it was called back then. In those days it was said, "the only reason..." students elected to study American church history was that ... they "lacked the scholarly tools" to study church history properly -- the so-called ancient, medieval Reformation [of the church].

Sounds to me like most were relying on man's "great knowledge" even back then.
