If a Hindu is in heaven he or she will be there because they rejected their false gods and believed the gospel...

I actually have a Hindu women in my cytotechnology curriculum....

She was maried via caste style and wears a huge (OM) symbol around her neck....

We have to go to chappel in this college weekly so it is interesting to see how she reacts to a totally new form of worship......

I think she is a little surprised at the fact that women are speaking from the pulpit! :-?

I would have the same problem...

1 Timothy 2:11-12 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

You and the rest of us adults know right from wrong we will be judged based on our works and by faith in Jesus Christ.

To judge on faith is about as silly as it gets. How do we decide what to have faith in? Do we have faith in x? faith in y? faith in z? etc. etc.

To judge on faith is to create a meaningless lottery.

What is the eternal destiny of an infant who dies?

http://christiananswers.net/q-eden/edn-f006.html

...Conclusion

Through the ages, this question of infant salvation has been emotionally debated. The persistence of this debate has been aided by the fact that the writers of Scripture did not explicitly comment on this subject. Having reviewed many pertinent avenues of reason, we can safely say that the salvation of infants can be regarded as at least an uncontradicted hope. It is my conviction, however, that although infant salvation is not taught explicitly, based upon the justice and character of God, infant salvation is an implicit certainty. In humility we worship a righteous God who will certainly do right!"

There would seem to be an implicit assumption in this line of argument- that we can have a knowledge outside of revelation of how a "good" God is likely to behave. If this is the case, we can use this knowledge to judge supposed scripture, are its claims in keeping with how a good God would behave? We can also judge the Hindu's in heaven issue on our knowledge of what a good God will likely do.

BB,

Are you an advocate of slavery as well.....???????????

This worries me.....

22(AW)Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, (AX)not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.

You guys must be a lot younger than me or I'm way behind the times. What's cytotechnology? Also, what's an (OM) symbol?

As for people not knowing God. if seems plain to me that all will know him regardless of where they're from whether they're in outer Mongolia or the Aborigines of Australia.

Jeemiahr 31:34 (KJV) And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Greetings D46,

Not everyone knows God. They know of Him.

This verse in Jeremiah is yet to be fulfilled.

Jeremiah 31:33-34 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

This is a prophecy which will be fulfilled during the 1,000 year period as described in Revelation.

The whole world knows about God but the whole world does not seek God.

Romans 1:18-19 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

Look at the hard hearted in these forums. They have heard but their hard hearts will not be moved. Instead they choose to mock God rather than come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

They say things like "have faith in what"?

They know what they are here to rebel against . ;-)

They have no excuse for not knowing.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

God is longsuffering.

2 Peter 3:7-9 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

God has made the world this offer through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

John 3:14-18 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Cytotechnology is a medical technology field that evaluates cell samples for cancerous changes....

I am the guy that looks at your tissue and decides what kind of tumor it is and if it is malignant for a simple explanation....

(OM) is the symbol of the Transcendescent Brahman in Hindu philosophy...

The whole world knows about God but the whole world does not seek God.

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!!

Oh, is that evermore true. I cannot remember every doubting there was a God or that God existed. It was engrained in me from a very early age. You might say I got baptised twice...the first when my Mom was 6 months pregnant with me and she was baptised in a creek..I got baptised with her. My choice came at 14 years old...August 28, 1960. Still remember!! I always thought everyone knew who God was but that many even with that knowledge, didn't follow him as I didn't in my twenties and early thirties although I believed in him and knew without a doubt he was who he said he was. I just rebelled like most for a season but, I got tired of the hog pen and went back to the enemies camp and took back what was stolen from me. (1 Samuel 30:1-8 (KJV)

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Reading that I couldn't help but wonder back in my mind to the fifties and early sixties when we use to sing that song,"Oh, come unto me and I will give your rest-take my yoke upon you hear me and be blessed for I am meek and lowly oh come, and trust my might, oh come, my yoke is easy and my burden light." That's an old, old song you don't hear anymore, like most we us to sing.

So, you determine whether a tumor, for instance, is malignant or benign. Very interesting work...sort of like pathology, I suppose. Thanks for the meaning of the OM symbol-don't know a thing about Hindu philosophy, though.

Yes we work with pathologists to make the diagnosis.... We work with the cellular changes while pathologists work with the histology.....

There is a lot of posts on this section of the boards dealing with Hindu philosophy.... much is biased of course! 8-)

OM is also the Cosmic sound of God. The Creative sound that is called the "Word" or "Logos" spoken of in Genesis at the time of Creation. The Hindu in a deep state of trance can percieve this energy directly infusing all life forms as the spoken power of God.

This is the actual symbol of OM shown in the link below.

Don't promote this unbiblical garbage here.

BB,

That was a TEXTBOOK response in a neutral tone to the question.

That is what "OM" means.

I leave the "Judgement" and "acceptance" of its Truth to the person asking the question.

Thank You.

Make that clear. There were no quotation marks around your statement.

That is what you wrote and it isn't neutral because there is no indication that this is a textbook answer to a question.

Get it right or get a formal warning...

Thank you. 8-)

Well actaully I didnt quote any particular source except my head on that one from all the Hindu books I have read..... :)

But its pretty accurate I assure you....

So what if one person thinks we are saved by works, while the other by grace? So what if one believes in transubstanation, while another does not? Does this not strike anyone as irrelevant? What matters not is what one believes, but rather the fruits of that faith. If the faith is bad...it will produce bad fruits, as Christ himself said. Lets stop squabbling about petty differences between Christian demoninations and learn to celebrate the fact that they all share in the same vision of a peaceful and loving world.

Good post....

Hindu what is that??? That is the question we would have in heaven, since there are merely brothers and sisters.

How can a non converted Hindu be a "brother or sister" in the Lord?

The unsaved are children of wrath.

Colossians 3:5-6 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

Ephesians 2:2-3 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Jesus called the Jews who rejected Him "son's of the devil".

Where does that leave idol worshippers?

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

I didn't answer the poll...Soma-Sight--learn to stop loading your questions. I think you put a sarcastic spin on them (that's what it looks like to me) but I can't really answer them because they don't reflect my beliefs.

Anyways...let me just answer the question...

Nope, I won't be surprised to see a Hindu in Heaven. For the love of all that is holy, people, GOD put him there! Who am I, a mere mortal, an insignificant speck in this vast, vast universe...to JUDGE GOD'S DECISIONS?

Well...there's my answer.

Good day to you all.

Joudie.
