Ford’s new car automatically slows down when it sees a speed limit sign

The end of speeding tickets... or spirited driving?

I wonder what will happen to those new cars when they're on an interstate or mutliple-laned highway, where a semi is in the lane on the right, thereby blocking any view of a change-in-speed-limit sign?

or it breaks, because well they just make so well. monica's truck which I didn't tell her has no linkage from the gas pedal to the engine. loose that sensor on the throttle or the foot the truck will just idle.

I know, but while change may be and this can be good as It can give the elderly independence. like the air craft that have auto pilots and so forth, when those system fails who should be able to drive it? YOU. I see a problem with the younger drivers that haven't the experience with "old" style cars.

Your concerns about the younger drivers is my concern as well.

im still leary about machines doing all the work. just given the issues of lack of control. I have seen a few years before the Toyota idle problem with their throttle sensor at the foot. the garbage truck idling in the middle of doing 45, and the truck stuck with no way to move.

While I don't want to go back to the days of horse & buggy, I still don't want vehicles so computerized that malfunctions can have serious consequences.

that again? not all can fly, nor should. imagine someone with seizures, high blood pressure piloting your aircraft then passes out and you cant fly? its going to be a long ride down. that is why that isn't going to work never mind where you couldn't go and landing. vtol systems don't like turbulence at all the av8 harrier and the osprey are the worst for crashes if im not mistaken.
