I commend you on the forum, but why is your header just a giant advertisement for a gamer site?

The Silver Clouds style is fine. I recommend a dark text and light background because they are much easier to read.

If I may have an obervation, as a professional webdesigner: the colors you used are far too agressive, try to use some lighter colors, or at least some not so "shining" colors.
