me, yet again. God is good!
My parents and I have reconciled. They went off to the mountains for a day trip, had fun. Good times. There's...peace, here at home. Ordinarily, 33 year old men are living independently, etc., but...wow. There were times when I was straight up deathly ill, then I was a patched up weakling, basically state mental hospital material, and now....
...well, God is good! My IQ estimate is up. IQ isn't the best scale ever, of course, but I will say that now that I have the higher IQ estimate, I -do- seem to understand material better and I certainly write better than when my estimate was below 100 (100 is average on most scales).
And...that's a big thing, too. Not the IQ estimate, per se, but having a voice. See, here's what a lot of my "psychiatric treatment" boiled down to: shut the loser up! Seriously. Shrinks have always done that stuff to people, more women than men, but...the lower status you are, the more stigmatized you are, the worse (and more brain damaging and punitive) your "psychiatric treatment" will likely end up being. Its the nature of the beast, or so it seems.
Verna's friendship means more and more to me, too. If you keep my family+me up in prayer, I ask that you pray for Verna, too. I don't...get it, honestly. Solidly Christian, godly woman...and a lot of her problems are coming from her family, especially since her beloved husband passed away. Maybe its the world we live in, circa 2017?
I'm praying for God's perfect will for my parents and for me, too. Its...interesting. Now that I have the "high IQ" estimate, I write well, I have a decent personality (apparently, no more NPD for this dewd...), I get along well with my parents...I realize: I never was really "college material," and a lot of what I was put thru was just..."uppity flamer doesn't know his place," etc. etc. etc. No, it wasn't right or fair, or...anything, but...like any other sinner, my life and the core of who I was was defined by: sin, satan, self, death, and the world. Boom. Thankfully, Jesus saves...why not me?
OK. My parents seem to be doing very well in all respects these days. I Praise God for His infinite mercy and goodness! Mama's retired, but she's getting busy with other things. Dad's going strong in his job...it can get high pressure and such, but overall, he seems to enjoy his position. I'm thankful.
