Isaiah 60:13-14
The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee,
the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together,
to beautify the place of my sanctuary;
and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee;
and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet;

and they shall call thee, The city of the Lord,
The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

Revelation 3:9-12
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

You will be given what you need from the nations, like a child drinking milk from its mother. Then you will know that it is I, the Lord, who saves you. You will know that the Powerful One of Jacob protects you. Isaiah 60:16 NCV

"16 "You will also suck the milk of nations And suck the breast of kings" (Isaiah 60:16 NASB)

Well, folks? :eek

Here is the passage with a little more context:

Isa 60:16-17a - Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I YHWH am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Isa 60:17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron:
A parallel passage to Isa 60:16 is found in Isa 49:23:

And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am YHWH: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
"Thou" and "thy" refer to New Jerusalem. The Gentiles and their kings shall provide for her needs just as a mother provides for the needs of her nursing child. I believe Rev 21:24-26 refers to this.

And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it (New Jerusalem): and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
King Solomon experienced this to a degree as Psalm 72:10-11 state:

The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
The greater fulfillment refers to Yeshua as he reigns from New Jerusalem.

It is a powerful verse. Its relieving that context is provided and scholars and believers can make informed decisions of the meanings...
I wonder how many people have taken those words literally?

None, I would hope. They are allegories and are dissected as such by certain rules in the scriptures.

Even with God, He is sometimes referred to in the Hebrew as "The Breasted One Who Utters."

There is a left breast and a right breast. These are evil and good, in His Control.

Hebrews 5:
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

[These are believers who only supplicate at the right breast of God, the good side.]

14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

When we suck the breasts of Godly kings of the testament, we are observing and even tasting of how God operates on their side of the ledgers. When doing so on the adverse side, of the kings of the Gentiles, who are fleshly pictures of the evil side, there is understandings that come from that side, also.

When we see these things, the "kings of Israel" ride to us, in chariots, pulled by horses. And we are led into their understandings.

Jeremiah 22:4
For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.

What thing?

3 Thus saith the Lord; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.
