since it is neither sensible or reasonable to converse with anyone who does not even know what day it is - check your calendar as to what day starts the week - if it is Sunday then to be off for the weekend must mean Saturday only and back to work on a Sunday which is really Monday - have a look at your old/new calendar - twinc

You don't make any sense, but today is Friday and I have the day off.
First day of the week?
Sunday.
If you don't know that, then I can't help you.

I am trying to help you - because if the first day of the week is Sunday then your weekend would be Friday/Saturday and back to work on Sunday - is that so because here in UK the first day of the week is Monday and the last day/Sabbath is on a SUNDAY and off for the weekend is Saturday/Sunday - twinc

You sound all mixed up to me.

Look at this piece of string.

It has two ends, not just one. One end is on the left, and the other is on the right. Now look at one week on your calendar. It also has two ends, one on the left and the other on the right, just like the string. The end on the right immediately precedes the end on the left of the next week. The end on the left immediately follows the end on the right of the previous week. The weekend is where the end on the right of one week and the end on the left of the next week meet.

But, if you go to church every week, would you not be going for seven days, straight... then repeating the pattern, over and over....... so how can there be a first day of the week for church attendance?

But if we were facing one another, your "right" would be my "left", and vice versa.
