I try to endure without retribution. I try to pray for my oppressors. I try and remember Christ said "for they know not what they do". I try and remember to have joy when truth is revealed. I not to revel in my oppressors calamities. I TRY........and I pray for deliverance. I wait and wait upon the Lord. I pray I can receive and endure anymore revelations of my childhood. I pray to find a place in the Body where I might help others. I try to love. I try to forgive. I strive to be honest with myself and others. No more denial.

Philippians 2:1-15King James Version (KJV)
1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

It means to love as Christ loved and to serve as Christ served and to set our lives as purposed in Heaven. Colossians 3:1 Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.…

yes let me expand what does it mean you the posters to have the mind of Christ
To me to have the mind of Christ means to think as He would think.
Which includes a lot of different thoughts:
sin
unbelief
love
empathy
forgiving

To think of the world system as Jesus would --- to understand it is not of the Kingdom, to understand how dark it is.

To keep our mind on things from above
Philippians 4:8

To consider God at all times.

Php 2:1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy,
Php 2:2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
Php 2:3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
Php 2:4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Php 2:5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,
Php 2:6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
Php 2:7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
Php 2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. (ESV)

the mind of Christ
Joh 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, . . . I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me . . .
Joh 8:29 . . . I do always those things that please Him.

How do we do it, and the example?
1 Cor 11:1 Be ye followers of me (Paul), even as I also am of Christ.

Why? and you will read of that ongoing judgment recorded in Rev Chapters Two & Three as Jesus is seen walking among the candlesticks.
Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. That gospel personally reveled by revelation to Paul in Gal 1:11-12.
1 Pet 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God.

Replace every 'try' with 'want'. That is what having the mind of Christ is about.
You show that you have a new mind, a new nature at work in you seeking to control you. You show that you understand spiritual truth because you want to do what's right spiritually.

With agreement with the OP ezra I have moved this thread to the Bible Study forum. Please note that this is a discussion board, not a debate board. Also, it's a Bible study so please show from Scripture when making your contribution. I hope the name change is helpful as well.
