Of course there is a reason why you chose your username as your site username, isn't there? There is:biggrin. So what prompted your choosing your username.

Do I still remember mine? :biggrinunno :shrug :confused. Was that as a result of typo???

Some usernames are real names while most aren't. Most usernames here are quite amusing and scary! :biggrin does your tell something about you???

Faeriecat is something I've used for a decade or more. Afterall, Internets is fantasasy land, right, so faeries exist? LOL :) My real name is Hope, which gets rather obviously confusing on a Christian forum. So I just keep using faeriecat. Oh, and I think cats were put here by God for frequent lessons in "you are not the master of your universe". :tongue

We had this same topic a few months back. Mine's pretty generic.... I had a different name on other forums, and I wanted something new. Not to hide from my past (although I was a bit of a hothead, and I'm not that way -- not as much), and if anyone asks I wouldn't deny it. So while thinking of a new name, the first thought -- for whatever reason -- was The Cleveland Indians mascot, Slider. Don't know why.... But I went with it. For the baseball illiterate, a slider is a pitch the pitcher throws which as it approaches the batter, breaks down and to the side.

So no.... No real cool story to my screenname.

Mark is not my real name. It's just a simpe to use Christian name.

I think anyone using his real name on the internet is utterly naive, or looking for trouble. It's not like we can form the type of trusting relationships we can face-to-face in the real world. The whole internet world is there to see, and misuse whatever you say against you.

I can't say I disagree - but my real name happens to be Mark.

I always made home made pizza for my boys on Sunday night. My oldest called me "Pizzadad", when I got my first email address, I tried Pizzadad but something glitched, and I went with Pizzaguy.

I've been Pizzaguy almost all over the internet with one exception, I was "FakeLiar" on theflatearthsociety - a forum I was a member of, until they banned me for having two usernames: Pizzaguy and FakeLiar ! They only banned FakeLiar, but I didn't want Pizzaguy to be posting on a tongue-in-cheek website like that, so I left.

I was hesitating between Charis and Agape, and ended up using the latter.
Agape is the Greek word for unconditional love.

I was thinking, what is the strangest word of phrase that has absolutely nothing to do with me, the Internet or much of anything else? And this was it.

Mine is my initials...which so far, I am able to remember. I use the same on other forums if possible. Sometimes I've had to add a number or something, depending on forum requirements.

I think if we HAD to use our real names, we might be more accountable for what we post! :lol

If someone answers, for example: Richard Karataekwandoboxing waterliquid...don't you think there could be a thousand others who answer the same name? :biggrinunno :shrug :confused

You are UNIQUE? I didn't know that's your real name. Wow. But have you tried reconnecting the number that has been disconnected?:biggrinunno :shrug :confused
No. That's in my past. I'm done with my past. Actually, now that I think about it, my user name does have a lot to do with me. I've disconnected from the insanity, the addiction, the irrational thinking. I let God lead me, guide me and do my thinking for me now.

I've disconnected from that old number: One. Me. First and always.

Now I connect to the only the only Number that matters: Three. In One.

Wow, how spiritually philosophical of me!
