woooooooooow. Please try to link me to the disconnection squad. I need to be totally disconnected. In fact I need a demolition squad to bombard the telecom system of my past and bad present.
 
I did some research on my surname and found that it literally means "Grandson of Sparrowhawk". My last name ends in an "es" which gives the meaning "grandson of". I've been called "Sparrow" or "Sparhawk" or "Sparrowhawk" online (depending on availability) since the 1980's. My name here (and elsewhere on the internet) is simply an alternate spelling of my real name when it is expanded.

I like the contrast between "Sparrow" (to friends) and "Hawk" because I sometimes find myself in situations where a more hawkish nature comes out. It's interesting to me that the American Kestrel (the Sparrowhawk) is the only true hawk that does not take prey in flight. They are fiercely protective of the nest. The name Sparrowhawke gets me into many different places easily and seems to fit well enough. I'm always complimented when people shorten my name to "Sparrow".
 
Add a .com to my username and you are at my website. Simply pride to think someone might want to read what I have to say. All is vanity!
 
I am getting a sense of deja vu as I could swear we already had this thread. Anyway, my username really has to do with a project I am building. You can take a look at a couple of the threads in the advertising forum to see what that is about. ;)
