Zelda, a great series. Popular games on the NES, even better one on the SNES (Link to the past) Let's not forget Ocarina of Time which was a major breakthrough game. Majora's Mask, the sequel, was excellent as well.
The Wind Waker was a massive graphics change which worked out really well.

Does anyone here play Zelda?

I love Zelda.

I just got the port of the original to GBA, I've always wanted to paly it, and it is tough, at least compared to other more current Zeldas. I died 11 times before I reached the first dungeon.

But, anyway, I especially love Majoras Mask, and the Windwaker, those are my favorite ones. I liked how MM was darker, and I liked the cel-shaded graphics of WW. OoT was great also, and I liked how it was a prequel to the WW. Some continuity was nice.

Exactly, I did like the darkness of Majora's Mask.

Yes, the original is a very very hard game, and I don't know anyone who has beaten it (personally) without having used an invincibility code.

Wind Waker was a very easy game, you can almost go through that game without dying.

I got majora's mask about 3-4 years ago, and I still have the mask stuck on my face.

I got the 4 Swords. It was fun, but unless you have a GameBoy and friends with GameBoys, you are only playing half the game.

There is a new Zelda coming out at the beginning of next year. It's being called simply Leged of Zelda right now. Check it out.

And btw - Zelda is just as bad as Dungeons and Dragons and if you think not you're being naive.

I played Ocarina of Time and man it was hard. I haven't tried it for a few years, so I may be able to do more with it now. But I only got as far as the water temple b/c i kept pushing the stone too far back to get the tool to swing to the boss. Man it was frustrating. But I look forward to the new one coming out, it looks awesome. Maybe they'll let you fish in the pond like OoT lol.

Oh, dang, that Water temple was tricky the first timearound in Oot. I still hate it. Worst. Dungeon. Ever. I can't beleive it's made to trap you, where you can't beat it.

I LOOOVE zelda. I've beaten a link to that past several times (I got all 20 hearts! YEAH!) and I've beaten oracle of ages and seasons, links awakening, and I just beat the minish cap yesterday. never played the wind waker, and I never played majora's mask or ocarina of time all the way through.

I recently beat 'Minish Cap'. It was enjoyable, but I think Zelda games are getting to "messed up" in terms of story, continuity, recurring characters and things like that. The dungeons and puzzles are getting better, I think though.

I have played most of the Zelda games and like them. Just recently, my 11 year old step daughter discovered the Wind Waker. She is addicted. Muhahahaha. My plan to convert her to nerdiness is working! Now if it only protects her from boys as it protected me from girls growing up. :)

Ah, Wind Waker, my favorite Zelda. A lot of controversy on that one, with the Cel shaded graphics and the boat sailing.

I liked sailing in the KoRL though, although I hear most people didn't like it. I wish it could've been a little larger, but it's fine.

I love the Legend of Zelda series. My favourite games so far are:

- Ocarina of Time because of it's story, music and the characters.
- Majora's Mask because i like the darker theme and that you play as Young Link. He's such a cute little boy.

Although i think that the new game that has yet to be released might be even better than those. Possibly.

Classical Video Game

For my eighth birthday(1990) My older brother and my parents bought me the orignial Final Fatasy, and this series has been a staple in my video game life. With that being said FF7 is by far my favorite. The experince I had when I played through the game the first time (1997?) has yet to be matched by any game in any genre. It is the game that all others are compared to, so yeah I still play it every 2 years or so just for the memories.
On another not I have yet to buy FF11 the online game foor PS2 and PC. Does any one own it? Is it wirth the time to invest in it???

zelda! omg!

for those of you who don't know, zelda revolutionized gaming as we know it. zelda was the first game to have a "save game" feature. yup, that's right. independent memory storage. i could gush about this with long poetic paragraphs expressing my gaming geekness but i believe that is unneccesary. i've probably made my point.

we must all have a moment of silence for that which is zelda.

and it's also cool because it has a "Z" in it! it has EVERYTHING!!! :-D

I love the Zelda games. I have and have beaten OoT, MM, and TWW. I also have links awakening and oracle of ages but have no beaten them yet.

The new game named The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess look amazing there was a major trailer released at E3. You can watch that at http://www.zelda.com/universe/game/lege ... railer.jsp. It looks a whole lot more mature than TWW. link actually turns into a wolf during some of the game. I have already preordered my copy and can't wait until it gets here.

Twilight Princess looks flat out awesome. Looks so good it might make me buy a gc, but with the new systems coming out I'll have to think about it. And I still haven't forgotten about OoT, I don't have it now but maybe I'll buy the Zelda collection just so I can beat it. I don't take losing very well. That and the game was pretty cool, loved the music. I haven't tried the others, so it'll be cool to play them as well.

Those were awesome facts Tofuy, I didn't know it was the first to have the save feature. That was a handy little trick to have in your arsenal. And I agree, z's are pretty cool :)

The Twilight Princess does indeed look awesome. I still say Ocarina of Time was the best video game I've ever played. It looks like Twilight Princess may take that title.

the legend of zelda series has to be my fave games of all time.

i started with ocarina of time which my wife bought for me second hand on a whim. i'm glad she did! i was captivated right from the very start and couldn't bear to put the controller down for more than a day or two before i got back to the epic story.

majora's mask was a more subtle, personal game that was a worthy follow up to ocarina. it had a melancholy tone to it that surprised me, but one that i found welcome.

wind waker is probably my fave of them all because of its engaging and expressive cel shaded style and game refinements. there was also a certain innocence and charm about it that was a bracing tonic for all those "dark" and "gritty" blood soaked fps. in fact, wind waker in an odd kind of way seems a lot less "childish" than all those supposedly more "mature" games.

i'm now just getting into the earlier zeldas, right after i finish off minish cap... yet another wonderful entry into this wonderful series! bring on twilight princess!
