Alright, now this thread is out of pure fun. If you have any good wishes, make them here. They probably won't come true, but it's fun doing it anyway. I'll start by wishing for my fiancee to come home and for an adorable little kitten. :)

Sorry, but I don't believe in wishes, but only that of things I want (not needs) that only comes by my own resources that will make what I want to come to be.

Your fiancee will come home :yes and you can always get a kitten if your mother allows it in the house.

I know, I did state that this is just for fun didn't I? I realize that he will come home, I just wish it was sooner, still working on the kitten thing lol, I think she's starting to crack.

I wish that my dream about meeting The Backstreet Boys was true. *heaves a heavy dreamy sigh* Oh Nick Carter, why do we have to be so apart?

You know a funny thing happened, when I was 12 and just finding out about the opposite sex I didn't wish but prayed for women to be running topless in the streets then I seen this sign from God telling me to go to Denver CO.

Well about 4 day after I got paycheck which is when I should have went they had a topless day in Denver where women were literally running topless in the streets LOL.

I missed it though because I was being spiteful to God for letting me be wrongly incarcerated for 5yrs. so instead of leaving right away like He wanted me to I waited 2 more months.

I wish that I had a dog and that I could go horseback riding again. Man, I miss being around horses and having a dog. :sad

You ask a child whether or not he or she believes in God and they will answer with absolute one hundred percent certainty that they do. Yet, a lot of adults tend to stop and think about it more. Why is that? I personally believe it's like what Jesus told us. That unless we become like children ourselves, we will never see the kingdom of God. Children have no trouble at all in believing in things they can't see or touch. Examples being Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, and The Tooth Fairy. Trust me when I say that I am not by any means comparing God to them. I'm simply saying that sometimes children are a lot more open minded than we are. I have always believed since I was a child that just because I can't see something, doesn't mean that it's not there. I might not be able to touch God, but that doesn't mean that I don't feel His presence starting to work in my life. So anyway, does wisdom really come with age? Some things like common sense become stronger as we get older, but maybe some people are just born wiser than others. You know, at first when this thread was merged into this one I wasn't really sure how it had to do with it, but I guess when it really comes down to it, I'm wishing for humanity to believe anything is possible. I guess that just proves that I have a lot to learn myself. :lol

When I once asked an adult if she believed in Jesus she said "No I don't." I asked her why not. She said "I used to believe in Father Christmas, fairies, the Easter bunny and Jesus. Then I realised they weren't true, you can"t see any of them."

You could have responded to her in one of two ways. First way is that you could have asked her whether or not she could see air or gravity, or the second way is you could have told her to look at you and the way you live your life and asked her who that sounded like to her.

That would have been too complicated for this particular person. Firstly she would never be able to understand what gravity is. Secondly she would not know what I meant she would just say it's you silly. What I am trying to say is a question of whether we should teach our children that Father Christmas and Easter Bunny are real. How can they then trust us when they find out the truth? Just a thought

True, but I remember when I was a little girl that I loved going to mall and visiting Santa Claus and telling him what I wanted for Christmas when I sat on his lap and leaving out milk and cookies for him. My parents never taught me that he was real, they just told me about him and let me decide whether or not that I wanted to believe it.:)

So remembering being a child yourself, what do you think? Did you tell your kids and grandkids about Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy, and The Easter Bunny? Me personally I believe that as long as my children know the true meaning of Christmas and Easter, then I say just let them have fun with it. :)

Yes I did tell them about Santa, the bunny and fairies, but I didn't question then if it was right or not. I am questioning myself if I was wrong to do it, not judging anyone else.

I do not understand parents pushing fairytales as they are truth...
Santa was described as a good guy from days of old giving gifts to kids..
never the bunny...
my kids somehow just knew Mom was the tooth fairy...
