I am currently a student studying political science and journalism. My professors want me to go for a Ph.D. program, when I complete my undergraduate. I am torn which path to choose. On the one hand, I have an interest in economics and political science, so part of me is considering going for a doctorate in Political Economy. On the other hand, I feel very passionate about women's rights, so that part of me is considering doing a doctorate in Sociology. I hope next summer, I will be able to donate my time at the local women's shelter and do some good in the world.

At work I'm the network administrator at an elementary school (grades 1-10). At home I'm a full time computer geek.

Mike, I get more from these people than they get from me. Keep in mind that I spend my week days in a corporate environment surrounded by plastic nails, plastic eye lashes, plastic 'chests' = plastic people. All they can talk about is me, me, me.

When I go to the squatter camps I'm surrounded by real people with no pretence. They are fully dependent on God. You can't imagine how my faith has grown since I started visiting these precious people.

I am an ICT Administrator at a school and I have my own Computer Training Center. I was a Furniture retail manager but it was killing me. Now I am in a situation where I deal with people on my terms and not some arrogant Area manager or Corporate head banger.

Theo, the Conqueror - a geek?!?! :shocked!

Okay, so much for my ability to create an mental image of what posters look like… :screwloose

I uploaded an avatar so, now you can see what I look like. Is it anything like you imagined?

Edit: That avatar looks a lot smaler in the post than on my computer. Here's a bigger pic so you can get a good look at me (if you're brave enough).

maybe Ill upload my pic soon.

I've had it like that for about 5 years, but I decided it was time for a change. I shaved it a couple of weeks ago, and now I have a goatee.

Right now I"m hoping to become a secondary school teacher, majoring in modern history and geography

By "secondary", I'm assuming you mean high school. Much credit to you, because honestly, I never new too many high school students who appreciated history, geography or the teachers who taught them. I love history now, but I wasn't interested at that time.

Yes, high school. Not too many people want to become teachers, especially secondary teachers. It's a shame, as in the next 6 years statistics are telling us that 40% of the teachers will retire. :o

I have a deep passion for history, and love geography so I just want to pass on my knowledge and passion to kids. I think education is really the foundation on which a society builds itself.
