I still need support for my MS ride. It's a tax-deductable charity donation, and the money goes to fight MS. It's a month away and I am only at 33% of my goal. Please help, and thanks for your support. :)
You should check out "Why I Believe" by D. James Kennedy
short little book with some good stuff in it.
also, "I don't have enough faith to be an athiest" has some good points as well that you could toss around with your non-believing acquantances.
I hope this isn't against the rules. I've read them and saw #25, but i'm just asking for support for a charity ride, no pyramid scheme or personal website. It's a tax-deductible donation, so i'm not promoting anything other than the charity which helps thousands of people every day.
With that...
Get a brand new engine and it should come with a warranty, so that should give you some peace of mind. You would have to check with the seller, but the warranty on the engine itself (unless you buy a kit--i'm talking about a long block) should be honored even if you install it yourself instead...
I don't need to quote the whole thing. If you have an engine that won't start, you don't look at a tire losing air. (it's a metaphor, think about it)
anyway, you talk about falsities. What makes something proven false? answer, facts. there is a difference between facts and opinions and beliefs...
you say 'IF we, as christians, have the truth" ...do you know for fact that the wine Jesus drank was alcoholic or not? You (or we as christians) take it on faith as what you believe. So, if it's not a discernable fact, it is either an opinion or belief.
so, just to understand you correctly, are you calling me immature? are you calling me presumptious? maybe you should research second timothy, and you'll find it's commanded to ask questions and seek the truth.
before we go any further, what difference does it make if it's in judgment or out of judgment....partiality, aka respector of persons, is still a sin. We are commanded in the verses of the Bible not to do that which makes it a sin if we do.
lol, sorry if I come off as rude but i'm not trying to be, but that's like the old saying 'my mind is made up, don't confuse it with facts'
there is a difference between facts, opinions, and beliefs. please don't confuse them.
how about james 2:1 I believe
"My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons."
...and the following verses explain the context of the respect mentioned in that verse.
According to the Bible, having respect to some and not to others--aka partiality or favor-- is a sin.
How then, is God able to show partiality in answering certain prayers, or pusnishing certain actions and not others?
Now, I realize that not EVERY prayer can be answered, because of the...
I, for one, believe that wine making probably hasn't changed very much over the centuries. The Bible tells us that Jesus turned water into wine and that he drank wine. I don't believe that's open to interpretation on whether or not there was alcohol, but it was definite that wine in those days...
4wd is a means of off-road or treacherous road condition transportation ( or simply for more traction).
a truck has a bed that you can haul things in.
each have their own positives and negatives. If you don't need to haul things in a bed, you don't really need a truck.
Well, i'd be sticking with something to do with the automotive industry...something I know about, not just the newest crave or trend. You have to know that trends fade, but everybody who has a vehicle will need service work.
I've pondered the idea of a quicklube that this area doesn't have or...
That's a good suggestion, and thanks; but what i'm thinking of doing is buying a property that is already built, or buying a franchise and starting from the ground up (not exactly owning your own, but managing would suffice for a franchise I think).
From the mind of Gould:
"The absence of fossil evidence for intermediary stages between major transitions in organic design -- indeed our inability, even in our imagination, to construct functional intermediates in many cases -- has been a persistent and nagging problem for gradualistic...
latest to fold? no, I said enough with the skulls...that's my stand so i'm not going to play into your game (more than I already have).
I'm not hiding from anything; enough with the skulls that you can't explain. ;)
HA ...what? do you speaka da englis?
It's not an assumption, it's fact there are gaps in fossil records. You could research Stephen Jay Gould, Richard Dawkins, or Michael Behe and many others if you don't believe me, they've all touched on the gaps.
So, we don't need more theories about the...
