REACH OUT AND PROVIDE
I've noticed all too many single just stay at home and isolate themselves from society. Many of them regress instead of progress for lack of knowing what to do or where to go by themselves.
Thought I'd add a thread for Singles to come here anytime you get ideas to post a list of things to do and places to visit. To list your interests, hobbies, what types of volunteer work you do. List how you (safely) go about meeting new people and start up conversation. (Some people are just too shy or don't know what to say) Share what you do, and provide ideas for those are in need of what to do for themselves.
List what a single person can do to not be so alone (isolated). Show them how to reach out and be involved in some form of activity and interaction with others, instead of being couped up in the house.
Many singles don't have family members to do things with them, so they stay home alone instead of reaching out to others. Yes, it does mean risk to get out of a rut. It just may be that we can help others to be free from the bondage of isolation by giving them a variety of things to do.
In participating in this thread, you can be a part of helping those who don't know where to turn or what to do in order to break out of the quandary they sometimes, or all too often are finding themselves trapped in e.g., not knowing how to occupy their free time or how to meet new people.
In summary, this thread is meant to be;
the place to find 365+ things to do for fun and good service to the Lord.
Base your lists on these three keys.
A good way to;
1.) keep busy,
2.) get out of the house, and
3.) socialize.
Also, if need be, please feel free to ask questions.
Since this is the month of May.... We can start by listing fun things to do (for singles) in relation to the appropriate month of the year.
Who knows, maybe the list will turn into 1001 + things to do for fun and good service to the Lord. :bday:
