I heard a good one today, actually I think it may be a true story but it is quite comical...
A young boy attending a somewhat liberal church was in Sunday school one Sunday morning. His teacher was telling the story of Jonah and how he was swallowed by a big fish. The teacher went on to say the story wasn't actually true describing it as a fairy tale but that it teaches us a few things. The young boy being a staunch believer in his bible became quite troubled and eventually spoke up. "I believe that Jonah was swallowed by a fish" he said to the group. His teacher noticeably irritated corrected the boy and said "no, this is just a fairy tale, Jonah wasn't actually swallowed by a fish". The boy eventually said, "well, when I get to heaven I am going to ask Jonah myself what happened". To which the teacher sarcastically replied, "well, what if Jonah isn't in heaven". The boy replied, "then you can ask him".
