No where in the Bible is there any scripture that says that someone prayed over a person for them to be healed. Why do you think that is?
Why do you think that when someone was healed it was commanded that they be healed... it was never "Dear Lord Jesus I pray that so and so be healed." It was always.. "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk." ..... etc

So why do christians today not use the authority given to us? Why do we ask... and not command?

James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of YHWH:

Another word for prayer is to ask. Not everyone has authority to heal or do miracles anyway.

I agree wavy,
I don't think many people have that kind of power and Jesus said for us to pray to the Father and ask in his name when we pray.

Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.
