Should a Christian be a goody goody? Should they forever remain a Momma's boy? This is a serious question. :yes
 
Christians are commanded by God to be holy. 1 Peter 1:16. If that makes us a "goody-goody', then so be it. My desire is to please the Lord and not man.

Although I was always a "momma's boy" because of her love for me and no love or affection from my dad, I know that the usual meaning of that phrase is a "sissy". No one loved me like my mother did (referring to humans only here).
 
Those who seek to follow Christ should try to live as He did.
 
Some Christians are such goody goods that they only live in circles with other Christians who are the same. Because of their view and fear that almost everything is a sin they barely come into any contact with non-believers. And non-believers do not approach them because they seem to be "too good" for anyone.
They end up preaching only to the converted and as a result don't spread the Gospel
