why how come whats the difference??

I bought a new printer .... It is working fine..

it has options of how to connect to the computer.

one way is USP the other is Ethernet

what is the difference? hoping for a simple answer no tech talk...

You mean, USB? :biggrin

It's a matter of preference. You can easily hook it up via a parallel or USB port and share it with other computers. The catch is, to print from other printers, the computer in which the printer is connected to must be up and running. Hooking it up to a network via an Ethernet cable or even wireless avoids the above problem.

ok the Ethernet cord is longer so it can be hid better and i can place the printer where it looks nicer and no problem the USB cord is short and only reaches the front of the computer! Thank you so much :yes
