Thank you.............. I wasn't sure anyone was going to get that one.
I did. its like this if any alien space ship came to the planet and never landed. we wouldn't say that it didn't come to the earth. yet with the pre trib, mid trib position that is exactly what they say.

double speak.

Would a full preterist say that the white throne judgement has already happened?
I, truthfully, have hardly any idea what most any person who calls themselves a "Preterist" of any kind, would say about things.

I just try to say what I think I read the Bible saying.

I hate to burst your bubble, Kathi, but that is exactly what every single person you or I have ever read of or heard speak about Revelation does. I haven't, and you know you haven't ever heard one person try to explain Revelation who wasn't putting either THEIR OWN spin on it. or just parroting someone else's opinion.

It is a rare person, indeed, who is able to admit that they really don't know, and are giving it their best guess. Not many can be that honest. Religious egos are some of the most bloated things on this planet. Some can't admit not knowing even one little thing..... let alone 98% of a book.

About all we can know for certain is that John CLAIMS to have written the book, and that he was probably on Patmos at "some" time.

Talk about PRIDE.... and we're too proud to even admit THAT.
I DO, I will say it again and I have before. there is MUCH I don't know about His return. so at time I post what I think or another thinks that at the time makes sense to me. when im challenged I look again and adjust if wrong. Im learning. I find it better if we stop looking at revelation as the end book but like all books in the bible a nuanced and deeply layered part with layers that can never be fully understood.

The disciples walked with the man Jesus. They ate with him and drank with him, they were witness to the miracles of Jesus, and were sent forth to do the same. They heard the very Word of God from the lips of Jesus. But in all the time that they spent with him and learned from him, they themselves did not understand those things that were fulfilled in Christ, until a stranger explained it to them.

I wonder how many here simply read any book that they were taught to use to support a church doctrine just prove another Christian wrong. whereas, we ought to read the book called the bible to know what Daddy Jesus wants to tell us. I have. I will man up and admit that.

Chris' series on Rescuing Revelation is one of the reasons I feel I am SO blessed to have found my Vineyard church. He's about the only preacher who came right out and told us he didn't have the answers for that book, but he would simply share what seemed, to him, to fit the rest of the Bible.

not directed you or anyone. the bible isn't a book that God breathed so that man religious interpreted views can be supportable , but rather the book by which God tells man he does Love us and wants us to know that we are made to be his sons and daughters and tells us how we came to by, why the world has evil and how to be redeemed from it and how to live. He also said he will come again to judge the wicked.

Do Preterists say that the book of Revelation already happened?

tob

*edit: forgot to ask; do they believe Matthew 24 has already been fulfilled?

Edit: Sorry, I quoted the wrong post form tob. meant to quote the post where he said
"For a minute i thought somebody was going to say Jesus already came.."

Is there anyone who believes that?

Yes, I do. But then again my Faith rests in the return of the Spirit of Christ to dwell within our flesh, not the return of the physical man to rule over my flesh.

God is a Spirit, and must be worshiped in Spirit and truth.

So Jesus has already returned and we are in the 1000 year Millennium right now where the world is perfect?
