I need prayer. I'm struggling this week. This last couple of years has felt like an endless train of being forced to do the opposite of what I want to do. And I know all the "trials are used to help us grow" stuff, but I must be in the remedial class because this is getting ridiculous.
I feel abandoned and surrounded by rocks and snakes I didn't ask for (Matt 7: 9-10).

Thanks for any prayers.

Lisa you have been going through an extremely difficult time for a long time. Trials and tribulations. The Lord will bring you through it claim His promises and rest on His shoulder.
I am praying for you dear sister. Will be in my thoughts too.

I'll pray for you if you'll pray for me, too. I've had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for 42 years.
Sorry to hear that and you're on. What kind of work do you do if you don't mind me asking?
I'm this close to just quitting my job because I'm so worn out. Physically, emotionally tired.

Thanks sister! Even today I heard some news about someone who has had it way worse than me, so I know everyone suffers. I'm just ready to graduate from whatever this test is.

I've lost most of my jobs- and some of them solid career jobs- due to CFS. Fortunately (thanks Lord), I currently run a modest engineering company from my home office. My best friend is my second in command and does all the heavy lifting. I just run the books. When I get tired, bed is only 3 feet away.

Do you have disability insurance?

No, but I would love a work from home job. I'd like to continue working really just need a better, low-pressure situation than I have now. I've applied for some and almost had one a year ago but didn't end up getting it.
Its weird that sitting at a desk in an office all day can wear a person out so much.

My last regular job was a desk job, but yes it is still stressful. I had started my own company as a hobby business, and it suddenly became my main job.

hey, lisa. sorry i didn't write out more in my initial response.

i pray for you to find peace in Christ, even when things get rough in your working world. I also pray for God's perfect will for your life. And, in the meantime....

a random thought popped in my mind, to encourage you to try to maintain your physical health, as best you can. always a good idea, in general, but it can be difficult when things are rough at work and such.

praying for you. :)

Thank you! It's very true that getting even a little exercise can boost your mood help you sleep better etc. That's usually the first to go when I'm stressed and sad. I also tend to eat out more and go to quick junk food. Thanks for this reminder brother! I'm planning on going for a bike ride with my pops tomorrow.

Awww, so sorry to hear. Your in our prayers.

i like your approach. you're wise to turn to The Lord, other Christians, exercise, spend time with family, etc. anyway...

i seem to recall you saying you do the supplement thing. I do, too...Orthomolecular. its Linus Pauling-style vitamin supplementation, in my case to chase the crazy away. I do think it helps, and it has 'side benefits,' as opposed to the 'side effects' of standard treatment. it also reduces toxicity and adverse effects from my tranquilizer.

the vitamins are basic--B-complex, C, E, natural form beta carotene--at high doses. its a DIY anti-stress, health+wellness protocol, basically.

this is a -free- link. im not selling anything, just offering info that's helped me (yes, I still take the tranq). nothing against pharmaceuticals, when needed, but...

if they can be avoided, awesome. and one can opt to take the Rx and the supplements, like I do.
