I disagree.

What language is Yeshua?

I have to jump in here as wondering already answered your question in post #93 as she showed where in the statement: Yeshua is the Hebrew name for Jesus. It means "Yahweh [the Lord] is Salvation." The English spelling of Yeshua is “Joshua.” However, when translated from Hebrew into Greek, in which the New Testament was written, the name Yeshua becomes Iēsous. The English spelling for Iēsous is “Jesus.”

Why are you disagreeing with what she said as you yourself said the same thing in post # 99 as you said: "It means the Lord (YHWH) is salvation".

Yeshua is the Greek spelling and yhwh is the original Hebrew without any vowels or capitol letters. We need to get past the different spellings as it all means the Lord.

Actually I posted the Hebrew name for Joshua as you can see, it’s not Yeshua.

So that I don’t assume what your point is, can you clarify what your point is?

JLB

My point is what Jesus said in Matthew 28:16-20 as a directive to the disciples about baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deity). I am not going to get into the different baptisms as that is another topic not associated with this thread. Again, go back and read post # 92.

Jesus is an English translation for Yeshua...so I'm waiting for his reply....

What language is the word Yeshua?

The closest Name in the Hebrew word be for Joshua, which in Hebrew has the same meaning as Jesus does in the Greek.

This can also be identified from a passage in Hebrews.

For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. Hebrews 4:8 NKJV

Indeed, Yeshua is the Hebrew name for Jesus.

Here is what the Strongs Hebrew Dictionary has for Joshua.

Yet none of His disciples ever baptized anyone in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

As you can see from my previous post, and the scriptures I listed, they baptized people in the name of Jesus Christ.

Can you at least consider, that Jesus is the name that represents the Godhead, as stated in Colossians 2:9

From the English Hebrew name with points of vowels, original Hebrew alphabet had no vowels nor did they use capitol letters, Yehoshu'a, meaning YAHWEH is salvation, from the root yeho referring to the Hebrew God an yasha' meaning to save.

Jesus is a masculine given name derived from the name lesous being the Greek form of the English Hebrew name Yeshua. It's etymologically related to another Biblical name, Joshua meaning Jehovah is generous, Jehovah saves.

It's the same as Jesus who said the Father and I are one, John 10:30.

With no vowels, here is what the Hebrew name for Joshua would look like: YHWH

Or the same as the Father Giving His Son, His name.

...Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. John 17:11

I believe The Father and the Son as well as the Holy Spirit, have the same Name: The Name above every Name.

Peter said be baptized in the name of Jesus which represents the full Godhead as in Father, Son and Holy Ghost as in who Jesus is as "I AM".

Of course Jesus represents the Godhead as I never said different. John 1:14 makes it very clear of the Deity of the Godhead through Jesus.

Exactly as I already explained that way back in another post. Strong's if written in the original Hebrew and not the English Hebrew would be yhwshw.

No matter what the language it's all Deity - Godhead.

So you agree, the biblical way we are to baptize people in water is in Jesus name?

I think you and I agree that Jesus Christ is Lord; YHWH.

Yes as being the reprsentation the Father, Son and Holy Spirit per Matthew 28:19 as I already explained this in post #111

It seemed as if you were saying we are to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

As a point of info...

There is no "J" equivalent in Hebrew...or Latin. For those languages the "J" is more a "y" than anything else.
It's purely an "English" creation.

Silly English American...
