I'm asking this question as I'm about to eat breakfast myself. So yeah are you a breakfast person? What do you usually eat for breakfast? I know that I'm not really a breakfast person as I hardly have anything. I usually either have some peanut butter or a few slices of bacon. (I prefer mine to be chewy but I will eat either chewy or crispy) Yogurt, apples, bananas, or poptarts are also choices for me although I don't heat my poptart up, I just eat mine straight out of the pack. I also like to drink either Sunny D, Apple Cider, or Powerade in the morning and sometimes lemonade. :biggrin

Edit: I had a chocolate cupcake flavored poptart this morning btw. :biggrin2

Nope, totally not a breakfast person and never have been. As a kid, I would go eat out at breakfast places with my parents and order something super sweet without protein like a cinnamon roll or danish and feel sick all day long. Eating breakfast at home was great, I love my Dad's french toast, but it wasn't made every day. I often awoke too late before school to eat unless I could grab it and ate as I walked to the bus and cafeteria breakfast....gag...so no, I just didn't feel hungry.

Now a days, I usually have to eat something because of my new blood sugar issues. This stinks. I am not always hungry for breakfast. So I do something light like plain yogurt and berries, peanut butter and some fruit, eggs, or dinner leftovers. My oldest is one of those people that used to make me sick to my stomach - the one's that would say, "I'm hungry!" The first thing after opening their eyes in the morning. =P

When I was a kid before I went to school (which was way too early to be awake in my mind since it was around six) I used to be a big fan of those instant breakfasts. I haven't had one in years though and up until now I had forgotten that they existed. :lol

Yeah, if we had doughnuts, granola bars, muffins, or toaster waffles I would grab and go, but I would feel sick and I bet it was all that sugar. Afrer all, the traditional American breakfast is dessert. I am a mess if I eat sweets first thing of a morning and will crash badly before lunch comes up. Some mornings I still forget to eat breakfast and just eat lunch even after I have served the kids lol. I do my best to at least have a couple bites of something.

Yeah, I always heard it said that breakfast was the most important meal of the day which is why I always try to eat something but like you I usually don't have a lot and sometimes I skip altogether. I'm right up there with you on doughnuts and muffins lol! :lol

I was always a skeptic of "breakfast is the most important meal of the day." Maybe it's because of my morning person best friend that would always tell me that. She would proceed to tell me that my organs are devouring themselves because I don't eat breakfast. Really? That is only possible with long term starvation. I ate at least 2 meals a day and still got good grades in school.

I also forgot about something else that I really like to eat for breakfast that I'm having this morning,... Toaster Strudels!!! :biggrin

I love a big traditional breakfast with fried eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, hashbrowns, orange juice,,,,,,you name it. A few decades ago, when I was still skinny, we went to IHOP and I ordered the T-bone steak and eggs platter and the big breakfast sampler and ate them both. It was good. Can't eat like that anymore. I gain weight just looking at food.

Aww,.. even as a treat?? :sad

Granola bars for me...
Or bag mini donuts...

I love carbs for breakfast... potatoes, waffles, pancakes and even rice, barley, oats, wheat or corn products.
Meat?
Sausage or bacon...not a fan of other stuff. I'll eat a chicken biscuit...but I really want something else.
