Hey everyone, it's back!! :biggrin It's the most merriest and most wonderful time of the year!! Christmastime!! :biggrin2 It's the time of year where we celebrate the birth of a very special baby boy that changed the world over two thousand years ago. It's also the time of year where we come together with family and friends and celebrate the love that we share and give that love onto others. :) Last but not least, (even though it's not the most important) it's the time of year where we go ahead and shake those jingle bells and just have a merry old time with some ho, ho, ho, holiday fun!! :woot2

So go ahead and warm yourself in front of the virtual fire, and enjoy some virtual refreshments with some virtual hot coco and Christmas cookies and go ahead and shake what Santa Claus gave ya!! :biggrin (Not to mention that there will be Mickey's Christmas Parade posted on Christmas Day itself along with Christmas in Rockefeller Center next week. :wink) So the final thing that I have to say to that is Merry Christmas everyone!! :biggrin2 *cuts red ribbon*

It's not official until I see the movie "It's a Wonderful Life". :yes :biggrin

I don't decorate much anymore, but I do have a 4ft tree I put up for hubby and over the tree I make a birthday card for Jesus. Will see how long that stays up since this will be the first Christmas with our cat, LOL.

No one ever comes to our house and you can't see it from the road so to me there is no sense of decorating like I use to as it takes me all day to put everything out. We don't buy each other gifts as we give to those in need as we buy what we need during the year. It's a hard time of year for hubby as he has no family here as they all live in Florida, but does enjoy being with my large family for Christmas. Maybe next year if we save some money we will go to Florida for Christmas.

Take away all the commercialism, it is the best time of the year as we reflect on a silent night and a Holy night as we worship the baby laying in the manger, which is the greatest gift of all.

Well would you at least like some virtual hot coco and Christmas cookies. Also thank you for giving me the idea of what to play next. Here are my two favorite versions of those songs that you just mentioned. Plus a bonus! :biggrin2

Yes,
Mary Knew!
Read Luke 1

I know that silly! :lol It's just a Christmas song. Anyways,.. what's that I hear? "All aboard for The Polar Express!!! So,.. are you coming?" :wink

Also, are there currently any Polar Express passengers in need of refreshments? I thought so. :biggrin

I used to be exactly the same way...
But then I remembered what God told the Israelites. "Have a celebration"...
Meaning that we need to celebrate every year... whether we wish to or not.

Then I slowly remembered that it's the things we do to get ready to celebrate that bring about the happiest memories.
So I get ready...a lot.
And all the gifts of home made truffles and cookies bring smiles to everyone. They really enjoy them...just like I enjoy giving them.
And it's made a huge difference in my Christmas.
It's not just the words I say that gives people the idea I'm a Christian...it's what I do that proves it in their mind. (I work among a lot of heathens). And often, I don't say anything...I don't have to. They can figure it out all by themselves.

I do celebrate the day with my family as there is usually around 30 of us and we rent the community hall since we have grown so large. I use to decorate every room in the house, but haven't done that the last couple of years. I do make my traditional fruitcakes as two of my brothers like them, but don't bake much anymore as my sister does all the fancy cookies and my mom makes her pies. I only buy for my mom as hubby and I buy what we need throughout the year. He is easy to buy for, but for me there is nothing I really need or want and have to rack my brain trying to even think of anything. All in all it is always a good celebration and a day to celebrate the birth of Christ.

BTW, it's official now as an hour after I posted about "It's a Wonderful Life" it came on TV. I made hubby watch it, but he hates old movies and didn't really care for it so he laid on the couch and watched videos on his phone.

So, HeIsRisen2018 I will now take that hot chocolate and some cookies as I sit and watch is snow outside and have hubby bring down the tree :biggrin

Alright sure, do you take marshmallows with that? Sorry for the delayed response btw but I've been rather busy today both on the forum and irl. :whirlRight now I'm going to do a tribute to my favorite reindeer. After all, who doesn't love good old Rudy!? :biggrin2

I wasn't suggesting that you don't celebrate...
I was merely suggesting that you do more. I do most of my celebrating outside my family.
Something about a prophet not being received in his hometown...

I will take marshmallows please, but will skip watching Rudy as hubby is a Christmas show Grinch, :sad

You do remember I can't open the videos in here as I have to use my phone to find them, but you have fun with your party. I'll be back for the hot chocolate later, plus I don't see any peanut butter cookies :hips

Btw, just in case you guys want to sing along to Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer here are the words. :wink

You know Dasher, and Dancer, and Prancer, and Vixen,.. Comet, and Cupid, and Donner, and Blizten,.. but do you recall, the most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer (reindeer!) had a very shiny nose! (Like a lightbulb! :biggrin)
And if you ever saw it (saw it!) you would have even say it glows. (Like a lightbulb! :biggrin)
All of the other reindeer (reindeer!) used to laugh and call him names. (Like Pinnochio!)
They would never let poor Rudolph (Rudolph) join in any reindeer games. (Like Monopoly!)
Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say (ho, ho!) Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?
Then how the reindeer loved him, (loved him!) as they shouted out with glee (yippee! :woot) Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, you'll go down in history! (Like George Washington!)

Oh you'll go down in history!

Also hot chocolate is making me think of winter weather. We don't have any snow yet, but I'm certainly dreaming of a white Christmas. :biggrin
