So, an awful lot has been going on today. I currently have really bad ringing ears that I woke up with and earlier on I was feeling pressure and heaviness in my head plus feeling nauseated and dizzy (I've been throwing up as well) that I couldn't really walk straight. So I went up to urgent care under emergency business only and the doctor thinks that my allergies might have swollen my ear tubes and the sinuses in my head or something since he couldn't see anything when he looked inside them.

I will be starting on Steroids tomorrow to see if it will shrink the swelling. I just really need prayers that it works and he knows what he's talking about since it seems quite a bit more serious than this and I sort of wanted a second opinion and a MRI, but I figured that there wasn't any harm in trying and I'm just crossing my fingers that I won't have a reaction to it.

I'm doing a bit better now as I had a nap and a little something to eat but I'm not going to be push my stomach until I know that it can accept more food. I've been drinking plenty of fluids though. Going to tag JohnDB on this since I already alerted him that there's going to be updates.

Praying for you! At first I thought you were going to say you got Covid19. Thank God it's not that. Praying for you, get well soon and let us know how you are doing,
Marianne

Sound like an issue with tinnitus. Maybe look up some natural remedies?

I hope things start getting better for you. Swelling inside of the ears would be a culprit for such. Garlic mullein oil is also a wonderful thing for swelling in the ear and ear infections.

You may not want to get an MRI unless you absolutely have to (if you have hurt ears, an MRI isn't going to feel very nice...they are extremely loud machines - even with the ear plugs they give you. I personally can't stand the noise).

Steroids can do wonders if the issue is severe and other anti-inflammatories aren't helping. Maybe try some micro-particle colloidal silver if you have access to it or a bit of coconut oil as long as you don't have anything ruptured inside. I would think the doctor would say something if you had a ruptured ear drum or something, though.

Rest goes a long way =)

Feel better soon! Prayers!

Thanks for all of the advice, prayers and good wishes.

I'm glad that things are a lot better today! Hopefully they continue to improve!

Thanks, and right now I'm just really worried that the cat might be causing the issue as when I was a child I used to be allergic to cats, but then when I got older I do believe that I got immuned to them. Either way I will do anything and everything I can to keep her as she's my baby and I love her so much.

And even though cats aren't as loyal as dogs, she still has her ways of showing me that she loves me back. As whenever I'm feeling sick or sad she always comes and lays with me and she's usually the first one who knows. She's like my best friend as well. :)

I'm going to tag for_his_glory because she doesn't usually go to the prayer request forum and I want to let her know what's all going on with me. Oh yeah and I think it sort of goes without saying that God knows how I'm feeling before her. :) (My kitty.)

I'm glad you are feeling better and the steroids are working. You are right as I don't come to the prayer section to often, but everyday I do pray for all our members and our guest as God already knows the need and I thank Him for all of you.

Thanks, and just so you and everybody else on here knows, I still have my regular annual appointment scheduled for August sixth where I'm going to do a follow up and then probably make an ENT appointment for a checkup just to see what exactly is causing this and hopefully prevent it from it ever getting this bad again.

That can possibly happen again. I know giving cats up to allergies isn't great. My husband used to have cat allergies and worked with a doctor on it, but we can't get the cats back =(

All I can say is keep the litter box away from your room. Vaccum vaccum vaccum. That's the best I can say. Keep the dander down. Give your cat a bath if you need to help yourself out.

Animals seem to have a good sense of knowing when someone else is sick. When I had cats, they would act the same way.

Thanks for the advice but I was planning on doing most of that already anyways. Anything to keep my baby and I figure most animal lovers (if not all of them) already understand that pets just aren't animals that live with you, they're family. :)

Well, no matter where they are...I still pray that they found good homes. They may not even be alive, who knows? That was almost 3 years ago and they were already senior cats. I guess you never really get over it...

No you don't. Take it from somebody who had one of their cats run away quite a few years ago. I love my current cat, but I'll never get over my other one. :crying I can only hope that she is or was (I'm not even sure if she's still alive either since she was pretty old when we got her) being loved and cared for properly by someone. Oh and luckily I believe that we will all see our dearly departed loving companions someday. :) (If we're saved that is.)

I suppose only time will tell. It is hard to get over the loss of a pet. I suppose when it comes with a lot of guilt and "what if's" that it's hard to even forgive yourself. I often ask myself if there was anything I could've done differently. It still kind of haunts me today to think of when my daughter was 2 and she fell asleep in the car. I took the cats into the shelter while my husband stayed in the car. When she woke up she kept asking where her cats had gone. I don't know why I didn't wake her up to say bye, but I guess even then she still wouldn't understand. She kept asking this on and off for about a year. She didn't understand where they went or why she couldn't help feed them every day. Once in a while she still talks about them and she's 5. "Remember when Mama and Kitten would..." or, "I remember when I would help you feed Mama and Kitten." It's difficult still, but hopefully they lived out a full, happy life.
