You are proving a 7 year Tribulation just like I said. Just like (Dan. 9:27) says. (Dan. 9:25) is clear that Messiah is cut off in the 69th week. That leaves one more week, 7 years, to fulfill the 70 week prophecy.
And, as you also say, there is a gap at this time. The last 7 years will start again when antichrist is revealed and makes a covenant with Israel. (Dan. 9:27. The first 3 and 1/2 years will be somewhat peaceful. Jews covenant with antichrist is in place and he appears as a friend. The Temple is being rebuilt.
3 and 1/2 years later, antichrist breaks that covenant and sets up an abomination in the Temple. (Dan. 9:27) Then last 3 and 1/2 years make up the 'great Tribulation'. That's why (Dan. 9:27) says "in the midst of the week".
I believe the Rapture will coincide with the antichrist being revealed and making a covenant with Israel. The Tribulation begins. Once the Church is removed, then the Holy Spirit ceases to restrain the march of wickedness, known as the mystery of iniquity. (2 Thess. 2:7) "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way."
With this order the Christian can look for Christ at any time. We can know that the Rapture can occur at any time. After the 7 year Tribulation, Christ returns all the way to earth to set up the Millennial kingdom.
One week = 7 years.
In the midst of that week = 3 and 1/2 years.
That remaining 70 week = The Tribulation.

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Messiah is cut-off at the crucifixion which is part of the 69th week (483 prophetic years). God set aside the end of days wrath that will come in the 70th week (490 prophetic years) and revealed the revelation of the mystery to the apostle John, but does not say . We will be in that gap between the 69th week and the 70th week until God pours out his wrath beginning with the first trumpet up to the sounding of the seventh trumpet as no one knows how long His wrath will last upon those who refuse to repent. At the sounding of the seventh trumpet the son of perdition will take his seat on his throne on the very Temple Mount of God for 3 1/2 years as he wears out the saints. This last antichrist/false prophet/son of perdition will promise peace and safety to all who will bow down to him and take his mark. Those who refuse to take this mark will then be persecuted to death just like those before them throughout the ages. Then will Jesus return and sends His angels out to the four corners of the earth to gather His bride to Him and we will evermore be with Him for eternity.
The 1260 Days
Returning to the 3 1/2 times, which we now know represents 3 1/2 lunar years of 360 days each, using the same methodology as is used for the 70 weeks of Daniel we calculate it to actually represent 1260 literal years. So, Time, Times and half a Time in prophecy is really 1260 years! To confirm this formula we need only to look to the 12th chapter of the book of Revelation-
Rev 12:6 and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Here the woman represents the faithful church, which flees into the wilderness for 1260 days. Again using the day=year formula, this actually speaks of 1260 years that the church would be persecuted. Now look at this next verse from the same chapter-
Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
Here the exact same time of persecution is referred to as 3 1/2 times, again meaning the same period of 1260 days/years as found in verse 6. In the book of Daniel, this exact same period of persecution in church history is found-
Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
This verse in context is referring to a period of time that the little horn or antichrist will persecute the true believers or true church, again for 1260 years. The same is true for this next verse-
Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
The 42 Months
This same period of persecution is found in the following verses-
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
Again as in Rev 12, we have a strong relationship between these 42 months of verse 2 and the 1260 days of Rev 11: 3. Forty two months calculates as 42 x 30 (30 days in a lunar month) which equals 1260 days/years. This verse is saying that the Gentiles or unbelievers would trample the people of God (the holy city) for 1260 years. Again this same time period of 42 months is found in Revelation 13-
Rev 13:5 and there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
Rev 13:6 and he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
Rev 13:7 and it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
This passage speaks of the great and terrible beast from the sea, which actually is the same as the little horn of Daniel, which is to say the antichrist power that would persecute the people of God for 1260 years.
