The kingdoms of this world have always been the kingdoms of God until sin was allowed to rule over His kingdoms/nations, but yet they are still God's and one day when the seventh trumpet sounds the kingdoms will once again become the kingdoms of God as in the beginning will be in the end for God is Alpha and Omega.

I don't believe the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven are the same thing. It is only (Matthew) that identifies the Kingdom of Heaven. And (Matthew) is the book that lays emphasis on Jesus Christ the King of the Jews.
The Kingdom of God involves the totality of all God's rule and authority. And where is that not in place. Is there any where that God is not the Authority and Ruler over? Hell or the Lake of Fire is under God's authority. God is the King of Hell. Not satan.

The Kingdom of Heaven is specifically God's authority being exercised through the Messiah, through the nation Israel, over the nations of the world, on Earth.

Thus the Kingdom of Heaven is in the Kingdom of God, but is not synonymous with the Kingdom of God.

Matthew is the Gospel written by a Jew to Jews about a Jew. Matthew is the writer. His countrymen are the readers and Jesus Christ is the subject. Matthew's design is to present Jesus as the King of the Jews, the long waited Messiah. This was written way before the time of Pentecost when the first true church of Christ was established in Jerusalem joining Jew and Gentile as one being the body of Christ with Jesus being the head.

The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of heaven is both under God's sovereignty as one on earth and one in the third heaven of God's domain. Of course Satan has no power and authority over God as it is God that will cast Satan into the lake of fire.

Yes, Matthew is presenting Christ as the King of the Jews. The Messiah. And it is he alone that speaks of the Kingdom of Heaven. That Kingdom directly concerns the nation Israel as the ruling nation over the Earth with the Messiah, Christ, ruling in Jerusalem.

Thus, the 'Kingdom of Heaven' is not synonymous with the Kingdom of God. It is in the Kingdom of God, but not synonymous with the Kingdom of God.

Israel is mainly mentioned throughout the Bible, but not all of Israel is Gods chosen people. Those who are washed in the blood of the Lamb are joined as a branch with Israel as God is the root of that branch and those who are sealed by His Holy Spirit are His own who find favor in Him, Romans 11:11-31. Therefore, our attention needs to be on those things that are happening in Israel especially Jerusalem as being Gods Holy City.

I pretty much agree with what you are saying, but I hesitate to say that as I know we have different views of the Kingdom, Israel, and the Church.

I don't understand the purpose of your last sentence.

The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven are used synonymously in the N.T.
At times it's difficult to know which Jesus, or any of the other writers, are speaking of except
that we could always use the context.

for_his_glory is correct in what she has stated.

The Kingdom of God is what Jesus came to establish here on earth.
It is a real Kingdom with inhabitants (us), a ruler (God) and rules,,,just like
any Kingdom or nation would have.

If you check, you'll find that Jesus spoke more about the Kingdom of God and how to
inhabit it than he did being "saved".

The Kingdom of heaven USUALLY refers to the heaven we speak of when we die,,,however
not in every case. Again, context will explain it.

The only one who uses the phrase 'kingdom of heaven' is (Matthew). For a reason. (Matthew) is the Gospel which presents Jesus Christ as the Jews Messiah. King of the Jews.

Thus the term 'kingdom of heaven' speaks to that kingdom prophesied in the Old Testament that has Israel as the leading nation of the world with Messiah ruling in Jerusalem.

The Kingdom of God encompasses all. Thus the Kingdom of Heaven is in the Kingdom of God. So, at times they can be used interchangeably. But that doesn't take away from the unique distinction of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Quantrill

As for kingdom of God compared to kingdom of Heaven, this is how I understand it.
Matthew used the term Kingdom of Heaven, not Kingdom of God. Why? Is Matthew writing about something different than Mark or Luke?

As I understand it, Mark and Luke were written in Koine Greek to either gentiles or Hellenistic Jews who didn't know much Hebrew. Greeks and Hellenistic Jews had no issue saying "God" due to their cultural upbringing. However, many Jews, even to this day won't say G-d. Instead, they replace the name of G-d with Adonai or HaShem depending on the context. I understand that the word God (Elohiem) is not the name (YHVH) of God and that both Adonai and Hasheem are references to God's name YHVH. However, the title God points to G-d's name and so even this reference it held in reverence.

Matthew did not write his gospel in Kione Greek. Instead, he is writing in Aramaic (A form of Hebrew) to a very culturally rich and united orthodox community of Jews. Out of reverence, Matthew uses Kingdom of Heaven in the same way Mark and Luke use the words Kingdom of God. So while Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven are two very distinctly different words, they hold the same essence, ideals and meaning within the context which they were written.

I think maybe the Kingdom of Heaven referred to the Temple administration of the Kingdom while the Kingdom of God refers to Christ's post-Crucifixion administration of the Kingdom.

I hope Quantrill also sees this.

I learned that the Kingdom of God is as follows....Matthew used Kingdom of Heaven for the reason that stovebolts posted.

Although Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven is used interchangeably in the N.T.....
Kingdom of Heaven can also mean the future Kingdom that will be on earth, or the New Jerusalem.
We can know the difference by the context.

I also like how it's explained here:

The Kingdom of Heaven 'does' speak to the future kingdom on earth with Israel as the leading nation and Christ ruling in Jerusalem.

That is the Kingdom of Heaven. That is why (Matthew) makes that distinction. His gospel is to the Jews. It concerns Christ rule on the earth as Israel's Messiah.

That rule of Christ on the earth through the nation Israel, is in the Kingdom of God, but is not synonymous with the Kingdom of God. God's Kingdom involves all the angelic realm. God's Kingdom involves all of Heaven and Hell. The Kingdom of Heaven does not.

I can't debate this with you.
I've posted some sites you could read that explains this fully.
You're correct in your statement above...
What you don't seem to be able to catch is that KofG and KofH IS
used interchangeably in the N.T.
The context will tell if it means the FUTURE Kingdom which we also know as
the New Jerusalem OR if it is meaning the Kingdom of God.

I like to use an index card as a book marker when reading the Gospels. I have the card marked on both sides. One side has a cross while the other side has a triangle. I have one side (triangle showing) as I read pre-crucifixion then flip the card (cross showing) post crucifixion. God set up the Temple administration of His kingdom. Jesus was a Jew under this administration. He deferred to it Himself after healing someone and sending them to the Temple. Man defiled this administration through violence/corruption. Jesus said so Himself in Matthew 11:12. That's why He said John was the least in the kingdom. Not because he was least in Christ's administration, but because John was least in the Temple administration. John rejected the Temple crowd and they rejected him. The veil was torn after the crucifixion marking the end of the Temple administration of the kingdom and marking the beginning of the Christ administered kingdom. John now takes his rightful place as the greatest prophet seated near Christ in His kingdom.

That is till chapter 13, where the Kingdom of Heaven takes on a 'mystery form'.

This is an interesting observation, and I’m going to split these posts out into a new thread for further discussion.

Many do not know this, but only the Levites from the line of Aaron could minister in the temple. If you recall, Zachariah, the Father of John the Baptist was administrating in the Temple when the Angel of the Lord visited him. Zachariah can be traced back directly to Aaron, the brother of Moses which is why Luke gives his division which is Abijah See Luke 1:5 / 1 Chronicles 24:10. Because we know this, we can also use this information to roughly calculate the month John the Baptist was born. This helps us to roughly calculate when Jesus was born.

Interestingly enough, Luke 1:5 also includes Herod, the King. Contrast that with 1 Chronicles 24 and we see that David was King.

This is worthy to note because God made a promise to David that he would always have a son on the throne. This means that only a son of David could sit on the throne, much in the same way only a son of Aaron could administer in the Temple. See 1 Samuel 7.
David was from the tribe of Judah, and Jesus was also from the tribe of Judah. But much more than that, Jesus is from the line of David. Jesus, is the son of David.

What do we know about King Herod? Much. We understand that after Solomon the kingdom split. One contention was over who could sit on the throne. This, the Northern Kingdom had their own kings who were not sons of David.

Herod was not a son of David. But more so, Herod was an Edomite (known enemy of Israel, see Obediah 1) who’s parents converted to Judaism, but not for religious purpose, but rather political. Thus, Herod had no claim to the throne and desecrated the temple.

There is much more we could say, but I hope you see that the Temple remained sacred, and it’s desecration occurs through Herod, not the descendants of Aaron.

Right....In Matthew 13 Jesus speaks of the Kingdom of Heaven being like
1. A Hidden Treasure verse 44
2. A Costly Pearl Verse 45
3. A Dragnet Verse 47

Could you just clarify what you believe Jesus is speaking of?

Jesus is speaking here about the Kingdom of God on earth...
The Kingdom that Jesus came to bring.
