This is the audience in Luke.
Luke 21
1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:

I am not sure I would word it that way. Paul separated the old and new testaments:
"And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise...
He doesn't.
"But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe... For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus... There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor...
Wrong. There is only one person, Irenaeus, who wrote a vague statement about John during "Domitian's" reign; and everyone else jumped on his bandwagon with the false conclusion that John wrote the book during Domitian's reign (or, about 90-95 A.D.)
Now, they all are being exposed as sloppy...
Where does it say in Revelation 11 that John is to measure a third, rebuilt temple? There was still a temple in Jerusalem when he wrote the Revelation about 60-61 A.D., or even sooner.
Dan
Oh, you mean the temple that was destroyed during the war in 70 A.D.: the temple that was in the once holy city of Jerusalem which the Gentiles--the Roman Armies--trod under foot for forty and two months. That event was foretold in both the old and new Testaments, with John being the last to...
LOL!
There will be no future physical temple of God. Jesus has already built the Third Temple and it is found on heavenly mount Sion (spelled "mount Zion" in most Old Testament prophecies):
"For through him we [Jews and Gentiles] both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye...
How do you see so much that others cannot see? All I see is Jesus saying virtually the same thing he said in Mark and Matthew; yet you want to spiritualize the passage of Luke as if it is an entirely different event. Doesn't work for me. Never will.
Jesus said we will never see him again:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness...
TCash,
Thanks for the information. In the following passage Paul appears to claim that he is one of those without fault:
"According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the...
Hi, Newnature,
The Church doctrine of predestination, which some attribute to John Calvin, has a lot of support in most every area of theology. And, personally, I know God found me; because I did not find him, nor was I looking. :shades
Early on, I was adamant that predestination occurred for...
This is what I know about the timing of the great tribulation. First, this must occur:
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." (Matt 24:14)
Jesus gave this similar instruction to his disciples:
"And he...
