Your question is interesting and a good one but also a hard one, because the Lev. 19 passage which mentions cutting for the dead etc seems to have as its context pagan funeral rites. Vastly different would be a tasteful, faith related design that is obtained because of its effectiveness in helping evangelistic conversations.
