    Things to Ponder

It is said the fabric of society is very complex. Does that mean it is dry-clean only?

    Democratic Christianity

That's easy. God's way. Despite the twists, turns and misinterpretations man endows in his own hundreds of versions of how to practice faith, there is only one way, and behavior is unequivocally defined in the Sermon on the Mount and the commandments of the Law, the latter of which serve as a...

    Democratic Christianity

I'm not sure I understand the question, Classik. "Which way?" meaning what choice to we make? If not, what exactly are you asking?

    Democratic Christianity

God is a benign dictator of sorts. No one is forced to conform. But conform or not, the choice made has eternal consequences. There are hundreds of views within Christianity itself regarding the proper practice of the faith, but the ultimate Arbitrator is God.

Can a Christain invites a non christain to check whether a house is haunted

No need to jeer. A simple, "I don't believe in ghosts" would suffice. :toofunny

    Do Your Dreams Mean Something?

Keep in mind, Job lived at a time when God communicated more directly with man, because the written version of God's word was not yet available. God often spoke in dreams or visions to men and women of the Old Testament. But we have the Bible now, as well as the testimony of other believers, to...

Jesus didnot fulfill his prophecy in the bible..Can anyone answer it!!!!!!!!

No, the OP in this thread claimed that Jesus was not in the tomb "three days and three nights" as stated in Matthew 12:40. This thread has nothing to do with Song of Songs or yet to be fulfilled prophecy. Unfortunatley in the New Testament, there are many examples of additions and copying...

Jesus didnot fulfill his prophecy in the bible..Can anyone answer it!!!!!!!!

They may be the same words in English, but the tense and voice in the Hebrew give them separate meanings. Song is about human love, in the marital setting. Nothing more. I've studied this many times over the years, 'Hawke, and what you're saying is there, just isn't there. God bless.

Jesus didnot fulfill his prophecy in the bible..Can anyone answer it!!!!!!!!

I have, and I just looked at them again. Powerful language, images of Christ to come, certainly, but Hosea is not Song. It has no bearing on Song. Prophecy is not why Solomon wrote Song. This book remains singular within the Old Testament for at least two reasons: its character as a single...

Jesus didnot fulfill his prophecy in the bible..Can anyone answer it!!!!!!!!

I don't see Song as a prophetic book, and neither did the prophets, priests and kings of Israel. It is a book of love, not between Christ and His church, but one between a husband and his wife, a biblical picture of the sexual relationship that is sacred to the marriage. In other words, the Rose...

Jesus didnot fulfill his prophecy in the bible..Can anyone answer it!!!!!!!!

Again, nard was a perfume and a food and beer additive, not a burial spice. If you can include almost the entire night in the previous day, perhaps. But you can't. No more than, according to those who don't believe in a Friday crucifixion, there is no third night in that scenario. The problem...

    My pet passed today :(

LadyLoves, my heart goes out to you and I pray for healing for you soon. Growing up, I had many pets. My kids had many pets as they grew up. Now they have their own pets, and I am left with my daughter's big ole Maine Coon cat, 24 lbs, all muscle and friendly as can be -- except to the...

Yes. Really? That's all I ever do anyway! :D (It's also how I read murder mysteries -- no undue and prolonged suspense that way.) Wait! Don't go. You still gotta show us how long it takes to "boil" those eggs!! :toofunny
