● “May God give you more and more grace and peace
as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.
By His divine power, God has given us everything we need
for living a godly life
.” (2 Peter 1:2-3, NLT)

● “God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy
and without fault in his eyes.” (Ephesians 1:4, NLT)

● “work hard to prove that you really are among those
God has called and chosen.” (2 Peter 1:10, NLT)

● “work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy
will not see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14, NLT)

The heart attitude of a BAC determines his eternal future!
It’s not nearly enough that he has received the Holy Spirit
and has become a new creation in Christ (2 Corin 5:17).

BACs were chosen and called to co-operate with the Holy Spirit unto holiness!
Receiving God’s grace and the Holy Spirit is just the beginning!

The BAC has a trinity of everything he needs to be victorious
(a successful overcomer) during the process of his salvation:
1 – the indwelling Holy Spirit
2 – the new creation (his new self)
3 – the word of God
So, the BAC has no excuse for failing to satisfy Father God.

The many WARNINGS in the NT are for BACs
who have chosen to live in habitual sin,
or who may later choose to live in a sinning lifestyle,
or who just fall away from the faith,
or who reject Christ and fall from grace,
or who draw back to perdition,
or who do not endure during Christian persecution (soon),
or who take the deadly mark of the beast (also coming soon).

“He who loves his life will lose it (his eternal life)” (John 12:25)
Stronger parallel verses:
Matthew 16:25-26, Mark 8:35-37, Luke 9:23-26

A BAC is required to continually repent of his sins.
This is a sign of one who has the right heart attitude before God.
He is required to be a habitual repenter, not a habitual sinner!
(To repent is to be sorry about our sins, to turn away from them,
and do everything we can to never do them again.)

If a BAC has the right heart attitude towards God
he will be led by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14),
and he will be doing such things as …
1 – reading the word and praying
2 – enduring in the faith
3 – repenting of his sins
4 – practicing righteousness
5 – practicing obedience
6 – loving, forgiving, not condemning
7 – living dedicated lives of holiness
… so God will see him as being righteous
(one who is living righteously).
One full page of NT verses is available for
almost all of the 7 topics above!

He who loves his tradition loves to add his tradition to what God actually said.

Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. The one who loves his life loses it, and the one who hates his life in this world preserves it for eternal life.
John 12:24-25 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=John 12:24-25&version=LEB

The “it” he loses in the actual verse is his “life”, not ‘his eternal life’. You added that.

If a grain of wheat dies, has it lost it’s ‘eternal life’?

If a grain of wheat dies, has it lost it’s ‘eternal life’?
No, you're so right ... thank you for correcting me!
Because it is true ... if you lose your eternal life,
you become one of Jesus' choicest grains of wheat!
Simple ... I should have realized that.

A BAC is required to continually repent of his sins

A Christian who is required to continually repent of his sins remains a slave of sin and has not yet been set free from sin; nor has he come to the repentance unto salvation that need not be repented of.

I had a father who was physically and mentally very strong. Somewhat imposing. Kids on my block were afraid of him though he never yelled at anyone. He was quiet mostly.
He never beat me. I got maybe a couple light spankings.
I avoided doing stuff that would bother him. Mostly out of respect. A little out of fear because he was so big and strong. But I didn't do a great job at that. NEVER did the possibility of him kicking me out of the family exist. And he was just a human earthly father.

And....
When trying to unravel a political or financial scheme we often say, "follow the money", or "show me the money".
It would help me if I could ask in the question of the theological statements of this threads opening, "Where is the grace?", "Show me the grace". I am big on grace. God is bigger on it than me.
If I am told, "Here is the grace, If....." then I am going to have trouble following that and won't buy it.

But then there is the prodigal child. Would your father have forced you to stay safe in the family if your desire was to leave? After the son had left and then returned the father said, "This my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found." Luke 15:24 NKJV

Scripture says “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18 NKJV

My take is that God does not condemn us but we condemn ourselves when we do not believe.

Since Scripture does not contradict itself, somehow there is a balance between John 3:18 and John 10:28-29 NKJV

"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.”

The father in the prodigal son story never considered his son out of the family because he had left for a time.
The son could make his choices but the family is the father's.
Not only can no one snatch us out of his hand, we can't jump off.

John 10:28
"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater
than all;
and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.”
The above applies to a very special group of people indeed.
Who are described here ...
John 10:27
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them,
and they follow Me."

Grace-only people like to quote the 2 verses above,
and they think these verses apply to them.

I say they don't apply to them for several reasons,
one being that they are NOT hearing God's voice
if they don't recognize His warnings!

If they don't heed His warnings,
they are NOT doing Father God's will, and
chances are they are involved in habitual sinning,
which is practicing lawlessness.

Matthew 7:
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’
shall enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord,
have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you;
depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!

I believe Jesus was telling this parable to explain the kingdom of heaven as He did with a great many of His parables. The father considered his son to be dead while he was gone. When God considers someone to be dead what does that mean? I believe it means they will not see heaven.

This reminds me of (or the Lord reminded me of) ...
James 5:
19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back,
20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from
the error of his way will save a soul from death
and cover a multitude of sins.

Many believers are full of their wonderful pet doctrines,
which are pleasing to their fleshly thinking,
but which don't agree with Scripture.
I'll take the Scriptures, thank you!
