Not even knowing who this is and who it's about, but I think it still needs to be bathed in prayer by Prayer Warriors, please and thank you!! My husband who is going to the "Men's Breakfast" - a prayer time held during breakfast time on Tuesday morning (SO AWESOME!!) just shared with me this morning the story of a family in real need of prayer. Lord, please help me pull the words together properly!!
The prayer is brought by the Dad at Breakfast who is now at least estranged if not divorcing his wife. The wife has really been struggling with mental/reality issues and is being cared for somewhere....?? I don't know if she is living at the care facility or not?? There is a child involved, and because of the issues with the Mom, and estrangement of the marriage, you know these days how these things go more often than not.... Dad is fighting to be supportive of the daughter and has been painted as the enemy.... The daughter is living in Foster care, and I'm told these parents ARE actually involved directly with the Child Care agency (don't know which one, don't need the name, anyway). The Mom has been allowed continued contact with the child, and has been abusing the limits of that contact by phone which the Foster parents are trying to curtail, not the call but the abuse of the allowed terms. I would love for healing to bless this family, and truth to set them free. God knows ALL things. I don't know what the Mom has suffered to get to this point.... I plead for the innocent. Thank you!!!

Yes
praying.

speaking as someone who's gone crazy (before Jesus saved me...) and now I live with a label of 'severe mental illness,' its kinda like...

i think pain, trauma, isolation, low status, oppression (in general), plus sins drive people mad. maybe there's a genetic susceptibility, i dunno, but...yeah. and there's a definite self-centeredness to madness, especially when psychosis and/or mania are involved, so...it makes it difficult, especially as a Christian, to be compassionate on the 1 hand and draw some firm boundaries on the other, and...

blah. praying. :)

Lord Jesus, I lift up this family that needs you so much in their lives. I pray the chains of dysfunction be broken in this mother and the husband and wife are reunited in the first love they had for each other. I pray for this child that she be kept safe during all of this and will be returned to a Christ centered family. Lord, you already know the needs and I thank you for answered prayers. Let all of this come together in the name of Jesus that His glory will be seen by others, Amen.
