Do me a favor Monday Morning, please! Tied 6o this bed I no longer can do it for anyone. If you stop, on the way to work for Coffee, a sandwich or for anything and you see one or two officers, any department, pick up their tab before they get a chance to pay it. When I came home, when my men and my pilots returned, we felt very much like one of these publicly despised Safety Officers. It took almost forty years i was certain that any of you that were never walking in my shoes gave a flip about me..., Don't do this to any more young Public Servants, a cup of coffee is cheap and it can be worth eternal love.

When I was crooked as a snake I would buy their coffee or breakfast and wh en they would bust me I liked to laugh as they cuffed me. When they asked why 9or what was so funny I told them, "If you only knew how many times I've gotten away."

And I always was a joker and would tell him or them jokes until evertything was over... I never had a single officer get mad at my crooked little behind. If you can be nice and just submit, they don't want my blood on their clean clothes.

From time to time I would arrest someone like you. Always enjoyed it. More than once I wrote my reports in a way that was sure to get their charges dropped. The pen is mightier than the sword.

LOL! Now, just so you know, I will never cross a kind officer, just saying! And I really was a turd before I was seventeen and the Army jerked that knot straight I carried around, just below the belt in the seat of my britches. And if you must take a ride, al least enjoy the time together.

Just a point from the perspective of the believer: Romans 1:18-32 tells us exactly why we are where we are. That word, Cop, so loosely slung around today, has a history worthy of knowing but the history of it is rejected without any fore-thought or consideration of "what am I saying or what will my LORD think?"

Cop is the result of shortening of an insult that was used to insult Policemen in the past and means the exact same thing as the slur Copper. How much does such a thing weigh on the scales of God's Judgement? I don't know but I do know that a "little white lie" is of equal weight with, let's say with the slaughter of the Nuns and the young girl students by cutting their wombs out during the 1968 attack on the Hue/Phu Bai Complex in early '68.

Have I ever called an Officer, cop? Yes. Do I ever call an officer cop since I gave all of me into the hands of my LORD? No, there is not a chance of that except I loose my mind, I am the representation of the Christ for all men to see.

I just believe we, as God's Ambassadors need to be very thoughtful about what we publish and what we say. We worry about the rules this forum operates under and yet we appear to care less about the intents of our hearts and how they measure against the rules God has set for us to live by... as best we can.
 
Oh yeah, and I did not suggest sitting down with him/her/them, that is their personal space and should be violoated only by invitation.
 
Great idea. I can't do this but will be writing to my two brothers and also some friends there.
One of my brothers is a Court Officer. He understands a lot.

A relevant thought. If a bank robber drops fifty thousand dollars of marked money and I pick it up and pay my new car off with it, am I not guilty of Possession of Stolen Property? All I did was to find it, pick it up, and pay the ten grand off I owed, was I responsible?

Coffee with a cop is something I quoted and posted from facebook used as a law enforcement outreach.

My point is that a police agency used that word.I meant that totally in opposite to what you think.They used it to reach the city and county.

I mentioned that term cofee with cop to a pd officer with the agency. If I used any other name he would have said oh coffee with a cop. I worked all the older vehicles they use and most if them know me.I have called them to remove vagrants and arrest others.

Yes, I can see that happening, Satan is a wily opponent. What others have been neutralized to should never be the measure of what is or is not acceptable and it, absolutely, does not serve to measure si for the Christ Follower.

You and I have had similar exchanges about using this slang curse before and you seem not to be affected but for the reasons I listed in the post before this, you should consider trying to be the example that lifts the world instead of following that same world in their down hill spiral, that is never God's plan.

The word Jew is a slang term was used in hate by the Persians.it's all how you use it.Should I not use that term as well?
