Hi HopelessHaze and welcome to CF.:wave2

Just to let you know all links require a 20 post minimum before anyone can click on them.

The best way I study is to first decide where I want to go. Then I pray and ask the Holy Spirit to teach me of what I am about to read. I take it word by word, verse by verse until I understand the full context of what I'm studying. I will not skip over a verse if I do not understand it, but will keep at it until I do. I also do a lot of cross referencing between the OT and NT as I study. Plus I also study the history and the culture of those various era's. This brings it all in full for what God wants me to learn.

I like just diagramming sentences...
Outlined books and chapters that I did myself.

That way I actually know what was actually said and there is no under emphasizing or over emphasizing.

That is wonderful, very useful. I must say though, I loved English in school, straight A's, til we came to diagramming sentences, and it dropped a tad. I hated it and therfore have forgotten all the minor players and their names that live in a sentence, and pay the price.
