This is an exercise to generate thought. Answer this question, but follow the rules with your answer.

The question: "What is the Christian life?"

The rules:
1. Make your answer as short as possible.
2. No debates with others on their answer. :nono If you like it fine, but no questioning others.
3. Incorporate theses elements in your answer. Does not have to be in this order.
A. The fall of man and where we stand
B. The world
C. Salvation

anyone who has the Son has life.
anyone who does not have the Son does not have life.
the world does not have life, nor can it give life - it is fallen, judged, and doomed.
salvation(life) is free to anyone who has the Son.
where 'we' stand ? I have the Son, He has me. anyone else('we'?), i don't know.

Christian life is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He lived a perfect life because none of us are capable of doing this, and His sacrifice was the means for our salvation as He took our punishment in our place.

Walking with the Redeemer in freedom. Freedom from the bondage of a fallen world and a fallen life. Freedom to love God, self, and neighbors as ourselves. Freedom to live a life filled with the joy only the Lord can provide.

Note: I really wanted to say, "What reba said." and leave it at that. She's the queen of short answers.

salvation encompasses all: our lifestyle, our world - both difficult times, happy times, soccer, etc

Hosea 14:1 ¶ O Friend, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine guilt.
2 Take with you Bible words, and turn to the LORD JESUS: say unto him in prayer, Take away all guilt, and receive us graciously: so will we render the fruit of our lips.
Shalom

Wow, good exercise brother. I love pop quizzes, lol.

A. To seek and love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind in effort to regain our true identity and relationship with Him.

B. To love our brothers as ourselves, to be the conduit for the blessings from God to them that He would like to give them.

C. You mean redemption? These things we do so that we may gain this redemption and not perish.

Here is how I might answer it.

The Christian life is the life of the saved; those who where once captive to this dying and fallen world of sin. It is ultimately the life of Christ, not merely of our own, but of Christ Jesus who lives, and who lives through the saved.

A Spiritually regenerated Christian life is to be whole mind, body and soul as we surrender our will to God and allow his will to work in our lives by applying Gods word to every aspect of our lives. Grace pardons us and mercy loves us unconditionally.

Philippians 1:21 Amplified Bible (AMP)
21 For me to live is Christ [His life in me], and to die is gain [the gain of the glory of eternity].

I want to know Christ--yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, Philippians 3:10 NIV

John 14:21 Amplified Bible (AMP)
21 The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. [I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.]

Staying in perfect peace.

OK....I like this Q...

The Christian life is a challenging journey. The journey starts with the Christian acknowledging his/her fallen state and his need for The Savior, Jesus Christ. From that point on, the Christian is "in the world, but not of the world..." and set aside for purpose. The world has to be dealt with, accommodated at times (wise as serpents, innocent as doves...), but you have to keep your eyes fixed on Christ and Him crucified, Pilgrim's Progress style. Salvation is a work in progress, just like Christians are, something to be worked out with fear and trembling. The Christian life is a story of God's work in the life of His (admittedly, undeserving) people.
