Is what I'm currently in to. Don't pretend to understand everything they say. Just if some of their ideas can rub off on this mediocre to middlin intellect , that would be nice. :)
I also got Walden from the library this morning. Never read it before. Do you Americans recommend this book by Thoreau?

i read cs lewis' books and like them

i don't know the other 2 authors

walden is all kinds classic. golden oldie, lol.

cs lewis is one of mah favorites. narnia, screw tape letters, mere christianity, etc.

if you want to read old school american literature...sister carrie and/or an american tragedy (same author). well-written, under-appreciated. also...i like sherwood anderson...winewood, ohio (awesome old school collection of short stories, set in an american small town).

I read somewhere that a guy read Walden, then moved to the Alaskas I think it was, trying to imitate it. But died in the process . Dangers of idealism?
