Hey guys! Well this is it! This is the last day of 2018 and I figured that this would be a really good place to celebrate it and to share our New Year's Resolutions. I have two that I can think of off the bat. The first one is not worrying so much and the second one is to listen better and to follow directions. :yes I feel really good that I was able to complete last year's resolution of starting to be more independent. :biggrin2 There's a couple of ideas being tossed around for summer vacation next year of either Florida or Alaska and right now it sounds like the latter is more of a possibility and I always wanted to go to Alaska so I think that would be awesome since it's a brand new place so please cross your fingers for me! :crossed Happy New Year everybody!! :woot2:woot2:woot2 It's been an awesome year on christianforums.net and I'm hoping for many more years to come. :biggrin

(Sorry the Christmas video is sort of late.)

I've been to Alaska...
Ode to the uusick.
(You will find out when you get there what that is about...they have tshirts)

But I went to clean salmon at a processing plant that produced frozen whole salmon for the Japanese. So I worked 6 days a week.

The summer has really long days becoming dark @ 3am just to become light @4am.

Walrus, bears, bald eagles and the moose and elk are rather unique to the area.

There's a lot of creeks up there in the tundra. Tundra is usually 15-20 feet deep Moss that covers the ground.(it's like walking on mattresses) There's also glaciers to visit by ship. It tends to be colder up there so wear fall/early spring clothing for summer visits.

Scrimshaw is popular up there. (Scratches in ivory and colored to create pictures) it's kinda pricey but you won't find it available anywhere else.

Gold mining still happens up there...both by individuals and corporate.
Unique place with nice people...but really expensive for everything.

And my new year resolution is to once again start back on my diet and exercise routine...so I'm skipping today and starting tomorrow. Ha ha ha

Oh I'm sorry you misunderstood me that it was the talk of somewhere we'd like to go but I'm not sure whether or not we're actually going because like you said it's the expense of it. However, I do believe that it's less than a Florida vacation especially if we're talking Walt Disney World or The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. As soon as I'm finished eating there will be more music. :)

Because it's the 1st of Jan I have an excuse to sit on the deck at midday and drink beer while listening to Bob Dylan.

I could be more motivated and go the beach, or a surf, or fishing, or the fair, but meh, it's the 1st Jan.
