We can see that what James Brown shared with us is nothing that would come from an occult religion and that this woman was not involved with an occultist church as he said this woman from our church, meaning the Church he is associated with.

What has been written is her experience of being tempted by Satan and her listening to the words of God in what she should do. She chose God over family and that is what we all had better be doing.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. Church will never = God in my book. Way too much room for human abuse/manipulation.

Can you tell me where I can find the quote James Brown typed in bold print. I am not finding it at all familiar so am guessing it is from a translation I have not read. You have shown yourself to be extremely well versed in the Bible. Where to find what so figured you are the one to ask.

That's OK if we disagree as I only see the word "church" as being the body of Christ with Him being the head of the body just like the first one in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost with Peter being the leader of the church teaching that of Christ as 3000 were added that day, Acts 2:1-41.

Referring back to the quote in JB' s post that I asked you about. When I read it I could not place it in the Bible and thought it might be a bad paraphrase Bible. But the content did not seem right. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think God tells us anywhere in His Word that "behind the scene, every step of work, and everything that happens, is a WAGER between Satan and God." That is not even a teaching of any Christian church I have attended, and believe me some of them were pretty careless about what they said. It is not true. God and the devil are not in a constant wagerig activity. For one, that would also require Satan to be omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent. Therefore the woman was not choosing Christ over family. She was following the teaching of the sect she belonged to.

I certainly would've agreed with you whole-heartedly if she were living back then and had been called by the original Church of our Lord as you say. In today's time though none of these churches are of our Lord and only a remnant of the congregants are actually of the Kingdom. Even today, in these church's leadership there are wolves among the sheep. Today we can only search high and low for that remnant. They are scattered like salt in each church and in each denomination.

Actually if you read it carefully it is bits and pieces from scripture. We are just to programmed to wanting book, chapter and verse that we can overlook the full context from Genesis to Revelation.

John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Behind the scene that we can not physically see is spiritual warfare going on all the time between Satan and those who are Christ own as Satan will use whatever device he can to stop the works of Christ through us here on earth.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

We have no idea what this woman was doing for the Lord, but whatever it was must have been very important that she could not leave it for later.

The point being we don't know the works she was given unless James Brown would come back and let us know.

When has the original church that began in Jerusalem ever changed as those 3000 that believed on the day of Pentecost were not sitting inside a four walled building that many call a church. There were and still are no denominations/non-denominations in the true church being the body of Christ where He is the head of the body. Jesus said you will know them by their fruit.

I checked out Gospel of the Descent of the Kindom' s website. It would probably be wise for everyone to do the same. Everything they say and believe is from a book "The Word Appears In The Flesh". Their whole belief system comes from that book though they borrow from the Bible, thereby confusing undescerning people, as do all cults. I am not saying that they are intentionally deceiving or have any malicious purpose, they may be absolutely sincere in what they believe, but that doesn't make them Christian.
They speak as God speaking, rewrote the creation account, telling us what is in God's mind and His emotions as if it were God speaking. They even claim that God says He did not rest after completing creation but couldn't wait to get started with His management of mankind.
From another book titled "The True Story Behind the Work of the Age of Redemption" they quote God, "The purpose of My work is to defeat Satan, to make manifest My wisdom and omnipotence, to expose all of Satan's trials, and thereby to save the entire human race, which is under Satan's domain." We should be able to recognize immediately that God did not say that because it contradicts what He says in the Bible. The Bible is closed, boundaries set, God is not adding to it.

We can not decide what to add to it. In fact we are WARNED not to add to it. We are not programmed to only believe what is contained within scripture. This sect has added a whole book that claims to speak for God, claims it is God speaking, as though what He has given us is not sufficient. I don't need to know chapter and verse to know there is something wrong here. I know the content, I know what the Bible teaches.

The wording in those posts was so clever, so deceptive that it could be hard to notice fact from fiction. New Christians could be easily moved and never know it. You have to be spiritually sensitive to catch some of these guys. I didn't like what I felt from these guys from the get go.

Some good that came from our cult backgrounds, that were not the same but similar. I find no place in my heart to regret my background or resent my parents because it was ultimately God who placed me there for His own good reasons. Guess He knew I'm a person who some times has to go through things to get absolutely clear vision, without hate or bitterness.
